It is doable. Just drop the AWD system and weld in the shift mount replace the rear axles and front spindles and you are set to go. I am in the process of this conversion myself.

I agree it is doable, know of one done here locally using a G50/31. A lot more work than a C2 swap, which I am doing.

OK, two different cars, a black for sale with a 6 speed shift **** (unknown gearbox), and a C4 needing a new gearbox.

This car was posted today. Just called to buy it over the phone and it has already been "wholesaled out".......

I'm sure it will show up again soon at another dealer for 10-15K more, its getting absurd trying to find a car to own. So many people are just flipping them.

Was posted a few posts up.

some repaint, a lot of "mods", this car would need a good PPI before buying.

Edit... Listed $5k more on eBay than on their dealer ad...

It's a convertible at a good price, I don't think it will show up at a dealer.

Well I might be wrong but I haven't seen cabs being relisted by dealers, there are so many for sale right now they sit on the market for long most of them.

American Roadsters are all bought by flippers though, I have seen at least 3 lately.

At first I thought this was a decent price for a nice looking 1993 C2 GPW

Then I saw it was has a salvage title from an engine fire.....

Looks pretty nice tho. You can tell the car has had money put into it. I guess you would need a good PPI and see how much damage was caused by that engine fire and how well it was repaired.

IMO too high mileage and price a tad high for repaint and title...

If you compare to that pristine $40k midnight blue that sold to a Canadian rennlister.

Where would you guys estimate value for a 94 black-on-black c2 with 75k mi? Supposedly excellent condition, no wrecks, paint, etc. I'd know where to peg it if a 90-93, but I just haven't seen many 94 c2 964s for sale other than the recent red/tan in St. Louis on eBay. It went fast but I don't know where it traded either.

There were only 300 or so made so they are quite rare. Don't see it being worth any extra over a 92-93 unless it was last build and lower mileage.
