Just thought of another tip.....look out for the corners where there are lots of people spectating.....those are the ones where there are most crashes!

Thanks Frank. The rear calipers are 964RS, so maybe there was some other issue. I understand that with these older parts that Porsche has them made up in batches and when they run low they wait until enough orders build up to do another run. Or at least that is what I'm told

On a positive note, the calipers actually did arrive on Tuesday. They were immediately put on the car and it was off to the rolling road for fettling. Unfortunately, the new engine was running lean so new larger injectors and an updated chip are on order... it never ends... but hopefully will have the car back by mid-March...

I am very jealous of everyone, it sounds like it is going to be an epic trip... And can't wait to see your car - you've redone so much I'm not sure I'll recognise it!

I was in that area about 1.5 years ago. Tried to meet up with a Rennlister, but couldn't work it out.
Sucks to be me. You guys are going to have so much fun.
Be Safe.

I shall be attending the RS day (as a spectator) on way back from (hopefully) collecting my car from 9M, which should satiate my excitement a little (off to Race Retro this weekend to get me in the mood!)....

I'll have my GoPro, that I treated myself to in the Jan sales, mounted down on my bumper!!!!

Got my old camera as backup and for in-car stuff!

particularly this link,

NOTE the warning about on the spot fines for no warning triangle or high-vis jacket in France.....a small, but significant part of our journey both ways!!!

Oh, and don't forget some Euro may come in handy!!!

European Health Insurance Card (aka ticket for free helicopter ride from Ring to Koblenz hospital)!

Will any of you be staying near Nurburg on the Saturday night? I'm planning on doing Techno Classica on the Saturday, and it's very tempting to head down to join you guys at the Ring on the Sunday!
