Yet the wheels and engine are still in decent condition.

No doubt the aluminum will give in a car fire. The liouidous state is low enough. I seem to get mixed internet info on CF. It apparently can burn at temps as low as 400 C but I am assuming it is the resins used and not the Carbon Fiber itself. Apparently it can be made to withstand temps as high as 2000 C but that requires special processing. The CF bodied cars like the singer that burned all were missing their CF panels after the fire so I suspect it does burn with fuel fed fires just as the aluminum would melt.

‘93 RSR on BaT. Has class wins at the 12 hours of Sebring and 6 hours of Watkins Glen in 1994. Also second in class at Daytona 24 the same year. Seller said the car was crashed at some point and suffered a bit of tub damage. Followed this car when it was on eBay and they were asking $1.5 million.

Very impressive win at Sebring beating out some faster cars and serious drivers. I have a poster of the race results but it doesn't show this car but lists the winning cars and drivers. That is one race I would have enjoyed watching live.

Was able to find some footage of this car at Sebring and Daytona. The yellow #65 RSR ended up taking first in the GTU class ahead of this car at Daytona. I saw the sister car (#01) at Luft 9 a year and a half ago.

^^^ Thanks for sharing. Those were great times. Real racing. Funny how slow they seem compared to todays cars. It was nice to see the super turbo #59. I know they just restored it and I hope to see it in March when I visit the Brumos museum. A shame they had so many mechanical issues.

Those videos are great. It's amazing to watch how it seems they're moving so slow compared to today's cars. Funny.

he was looking for a roller. Considering I recently sold a core engine for more than that, the price doesn’t seem too bad. Engine looks savable.

please name it SMORES

I could understand a crashed tub that has some salvageable parts. The only thing salvageable about this is the vin number and documents???

I'm curious to see how it comes out. The car looks like it was cooked from the top from the building around it. The underside looks almost normal. Th hood and trunk are toast - the roof might also need attention but the door gaps and other parts look pretty straight to me. The carpet didn't completely catch fire so I bet once the interior is pulled the floor is going to look at crappy as the rest of them with all that glue but otherwise normal. That's even more of a project than mine but as I look at it, it doesn't seem impossible. Looks like Scott has done some resurrections in the past so let's hope this one comes back to life as well. I'm onboard with putting one back on the road! Good luck, Scott.

PCA released a video the other day saying they would be selling their project 964 on BaT via 911R. You guys figure there will be a significant premium on this particular example? This is one of the very few true sunroof delete 964’s I’ve ever seen.

I see he posted on IG about it not being rusty and he has a point. Only way to know for sure is to pull the suspension and put it on a Celette or some form of straightening machine. If it shows Ok than I guess he is in luck. Although that would be one nasty job just to strip down. I wonder what my stripped out tub is worth these days?

Also wasn't this the blue and white build done by someone here? I recall he lost a number of cars due to the fire. His build was epic. Hopefully Scott will resurrect it. He is better than I. I wouldn't want to deal with the smell of burnt plastic and the rest of the mess.

I know of 4 US spec including this one. The lack of sunroof will boost the price not so sure about the rest. I wonder if the seller is kicking himself for selling it for $1?
