The Sandridges are still racing. Raced against them at the glen this year with IGT Still wheelin
I believe he sold me my set of RSR speedline wheels. He had a spare set they used for rain tires and wanted to clean house. He made me a deal I couldn't refuse.
‘93 RSR on BaT. Has class wins at the 12 hours of Sebring and 6 hours of Watkins Glen in 1994. Also second in class at Daytona 24 the same year. Seller said the car was crashed at some point and suffered a bit of tub damage. Followed this car when it was on eBay and they were asking $1.5 million.
This one ends today. Likely won’t meet reserve as it sits at $250k at the time of this post. Assume they are looking for over $1 million. These race cars aren’t always an easy sell because of the smaller market for them and often don’t do well on BaT. Thought I’d include this clip of the 2 Rohr Corporation cars running together at a Daytona test before the 24 hour race in January of 1994.
Canepa looks to be getting in this GP White RSA. From the photo has no sunroof and looks lowered to RoW RS ride height. Also Turbo spec brakes. What ever the mileage or condition based on it being Canepa expect it to be priced over market.
Maritime Blue ‘93 C2. Japanese-market example and no sunroof. Seller looks to have purchased it from Don Ahearn about a year ago and driven it 900 km or miles in that time. Believe it was $200k then now is $195k.
I have been watching this '93 C4 GR/Blk and 55k miles thinking that this is a nice reference point example and a good market reference point. My takeaway is that the market is very soft and may be 20% lower than six months to a year ago. Of course special colors or special versions are... special and draw attention/dollars, but for a late lowish mile normal coupe this seems pretty representative. If I didn't own the car that I want I would be a buyer at this price point.

Gemballa RSR 3.8 (originally an earlier build GP White RSA). Price is $400k. Thought I saw this car was in a collection in the Ukraine (where the only known surviving North American market Pearl White Flachbau was), then in Massachusetts, and now with RFM. Had a black interior in 2017 and was changed to red at some point. Looks like RFM copied the first part of the description of the old listing. This car is not my cup of tea.

When did the pearl white flachbau leave the US? My friend Steve owned that car up until about 10 years ago. It had very few miles on it when he did.
It left the US in 2009. Now part of a large collection in the Ukraine.
The other Pearl White car (featured in Excellence in 1994) issued salvage title in 1995, crashed again 2 or 3 years later, then stolen and stripped in 1998. Disappeared not long after that probably destroyed.

Unfortunate that one of the two is gone. Just looked back into the details have about the destroyed one is that the records say it was crashed three times. First in ‘95 when it was issued a salvage title, then again in 1998, and finally in 1999 then it disappeared altogether. Not sure if the one in 1998 or 1999 is counted for when it was stolen and stripped.

What a shame it left the US. I have pictures of it someplace in one of those inflatable bubbles. My friend kept in superb condition. I was never a fan of it in white but the pearl paint was special on it.
Funny they claim that it had a larger Inter cooler which my understanding wasn't the case. The wing did sit higher so it used a specific set of louvers and surrounds for the IC to close the gap left when using the original Tea tray spoiler. I had both parts I sold with the last known to exist TS wing I had. Does anyone have confirmation that the turbo S2 IC was used? It shows the P3 as the IC which would be from the S2. It is currently the only IC available from Porsche.
