That is why the US spec Cup Cars are IMO the best alternative.

Both the Touring and the NGT RS are great fun on the street. NGT is fun on track as well.
A sorted 92 RS is easy to drive on streets and handles long drives. And the NGT is loud and more exciting for short jaunts.
I like the Pole Positions, harnesses and the process of getting going in the NGT. Only thing I don't like
is that the cage doesn't let you move the visor.

The scariest thing I can think of is driving a car like that with full cage on the street without a helmet. I have had friends lose their lives from simple accidents due to impacting their head against the cage at low speeds. To say a full cage on the street is safe is plain false. At a min the cage should have some padding if you are going to take unnecessary chances like that. Heck you can soften or stiffen any 964 it all depends on what you want.

I saw that car out at the Bridge it was nice but I have no use for one. The Touring I can understand for street driving.

Yes, padding on cage is important. I realize there's a higher risk in any older car, considering no air bags or active safety systems.
Same with riding a motorcycle or driving any 1970's or older car. Choosing time and place and being aware of risks is important, I agree.

Wow. You could have a US Carrera Cup car for the same money as the silver RS.

But man. I do like that Ruby NGT.

Friend of mine is selling his Rubystone Red ROW RS with ~30k miles. He previously bought it in Portugal at an RM auction.

The link to their site is not the current listing for the car as that hasn’t been put up yet. It is just some photos and a very brief description of the car under their collection tab on the site.
