I'm sure he means that this thread has previously been used to post what you paid for a 964 and the details of the sale. I find that not as many people are willing to share that private info - so these side conversations work out just fine.

Personally I find all of the content in this thread very useful. More info on prices paid in private sales would be great (since we can all see what happens on BaT), but I'm not sure how many current 964 sales end up in Rennlisters' hands.

This thread has been off topic from the OP’s intent for several years and over 100 pages of posts. You’d be moving a lot of posts. Not as many people especially nowadays with the value of these cars much higher are willing to share very sensitive information (how much they paid) in public.

That knockout bid early kinda obscures what the interest in this car might have been. He might’ve ultimately bid against himself with that 150, but I feel like this was at least a 130 car otherwise.

it's definitely hard to gauge the true value as coachwerks was willing to slap down a $26k bump on the previous high bid. that's enormous, but it worked. i assume it's a dealer, but it's not a high activity account. i assume they'll try to sell it on.

the next one is already up and it's a returning BAT car. should bring more than the Baltic car, but we'll see if the Baltic car was an overreach by coachwerks. seller is flipping it after only 350 miles and less than a year.

@rsabeebe coachwerks aren’t really a dealer in the traditional sense. They will find cars for clients but their bread and butter is being full blown restoration shop and they made their name having restored over 100 MB 300SL Gullwings. They also do a lot of Porsche work and some other restorations and a bit of general maintenance on other marques. Likely this Baltic Blue car was bought for a client - just my guess. Needless to say they have some pretty wealthy clients!

ironically I was there tonight for an event. Here are a few pics:

(now I’ve really taken this off topic!!!)

This Gullwing is bring driven around North and South America by a couple from Luxembourg. Incredible. Driving 10s of thousands of miles in a multi million car. Simply incredible. Instagram https://instagram.com/rudolf1955_ontour

Incredible shop and restoration work! The fact that 964's are in there being re-worked is a testament to their increasing value.

Very much the core of this topic...

Thx!

Not exactly sure what that is probably a dealer this car was at in France or Italy maybe?

Does anyone know how many US delivered 964’s (besides RS America and Cup USA) were ordered with option #652 which was the sunroof delete option. Seems insanely rare to see it on a US spec C2, C4, or Turbo. All the non sunroof cars I see are RoW cars as they didn’t get sunroofs as standard unlike here in the US.

Looks clean to me. Well maintained. "La Villa Rose" is a Porsche specialist shop in Lyon.

Ok thanks for the clarification. I also forgot RoW cars Shell oil sticker got put on top of the fan unlike here in the US. The car isn’t bad considering this is a 30 year old car with over 100k miles. I’ve seen much worse. The car has had a repaint and it has some chips at the moment. Also not sure about the repaint quality as the orange peel in some areas to me doesn’t look quite right from the photos. The wheels look a bit tired (have been refinished before) and the front and rear bumpers have multiple holes drilled in them for license plates. Some of the rubber gaskets around the car could use some attention. The interior looks good especially considering the age and miles. At least since 2005 the car has been well maintained, but not a lot of history before then. There are some inconsistencies in the mileage according to the service booklet from what I can make out. A decent example that has a desirable specification.

polar over dark blue is going to be wonderful combination. the blue interior was simply highlight the blue in polar.

with over 100k, a price of $125k is probably a bit high. it's likely on ebay for advertising purposes more than anything.

^^ If that was on BaT, it would get goggled up, I think. The miles may be a deterrent.

This car in France is probably worth about 70K to 75K euros. I guess it is not a bad idea to import cars in the US and has driven the 964 prices way up in EU.
