Not exactly sure what that is probably a dealer this car was at in France or Italy maybe?

Does anyone know how many US delivered 964’s (besides RS America and Cup USA) were ordered with option #652 which was the sunroof delete option. Seems insanely rare to see it on a US spec C2, C4, or Turbo. All the non sunroof cars I see are RoW cars as they didn’t get sunroofs as standard unlike here in the US.
Actually in 93 they placed the shell sticker on the plastic part that covers the wires. It varies from MY to MY. My 93 has it on the plastic piece. I even swapped over the old part when I installed new wires to save the original stickers. By late 93 they switched the sticker from a .00 to a .02. Not sure why but it reduced the size slightly and that is all I can tell is different. The .02 is NLA but the .00 can be purchased through car bone.

The RoW cars came without sunroofs. You need to add option code 650 to have one. There are the RSA's the 45 US spec cup cars and I have come across 4 others US spec without sunroof.

The cup cars do not show an option code and have no sunroof.

Option sticker as they come from the factory on a US spec cup car but you should know that.

when I’ve seen cars not make reserve and then posted again for sale the spread is sizable but not enormous. In this case the market and the seller have vastly different perspectives on what this car is worth. I guess it doesn’t help that’s it’s overseas but that’s still a massive delta

Thanks for the clarification Anthony. You teach me something new all the time. I have seen some inconsistencies where they have placed the stickers in RoW countries Japan in particular regardless of model year.

I did notice the option sticker on the US Cup’s doesn’t have the sunroof delete option code despite being classified by it as a US delivery C2 coupe which came standard with a sunroof. I believe 964 330 is the code denoting a 964 C2 coupe and C02 is the country code for the US. Suspect option code 14011 (special wishes) deleted the sunroof and was responsible for all the other changes required for these cars. The option sticker does show it has the different M64/03 engine and G50/10 transmission.

With that big of a gap in price they won’t be selling it on Pcarmarket. A lot of money for converted WB ‘91 C2 cabriolet all the way in Europe.

They loved to play games back then. The standard US coupe came with the sunroof as a standard option and all the stickers will have code 650. Ironic that it wasn't ordered but still considered an option if you wanted it or not. Yet 573 is another standard option and A/C is never listed on the option list unless it is an RSA in the US.

You need to run the vin through the PSSC system to get the full breakdown of what went into the build. Soe sellers on BaT like to post the full list which can be extensive but covers many of the needed items to sell the car in most countries. Things like seat belts, air bags etc are on the build sheet but not part o the option sticker.

I will run # 590 build soon and see what comes up in the Porsche system.

If the cab were a 92 RSA or RoW wide body from the factory it might be worth the asking.

This exceptionally nicely optioned 964 sold for $86,500 today on BAT. It has a bunch of miles and some patina but sold for way less than we would have thought...

90 with fees didn’t seem wildly low. I agree it was well-optioned, but not a great presentation. I think @Tarek307 called it. Seems silly, but putting the Cup1s on probably would have done wonders here. “Common” color and C4 v 2 together with a first-time BaT seller and this result kind of makes sense.

It is funny how some of the nicer examples don't bring the big money some of the turds do. However this is not a car without needs or stories to tell. No way the wiper arms and headlights can be so badly peppered without the front end being the same. Clearly the car had some front end paintwork at a min. The windshield is new as well with the seal not sitting properly. The wear on the seat piping and several other things scream TMU and I agree the cup I's would have made a huge difference on the car vs the twists. Not bad money for a car with a few unanswered questions.

I am also guessing that Singer is not buying cars with potential corrosion issues. But compared to that white one that went for $94,500 this was a gem IMO.

Thanks as always for your contributions to our collective knowledge of these cars!

Off topic so apologies in advance: Does anyone have a lead on where to get the option sticker reproduced? If so, PM me the details please.

thank you.

This is 911Jetta's car. He is selling after all these years of being absent from rennlist. Someone should be getting a nice example. I expect this should see some activity. I reached out to a few who wanted a C2 and advised them the car was available and I can't believe nobody grabbed it. I suspect his asking will be far less than the car will sell for.

The car AFAIK was originally sold by Nathan to Rudy (RIP) and then 911Jetta. I haven't seen it in person but he was always a bit fanatical about his cars. I believe the seats were swapped out by Rudy but don't hold me too it.

It would appear my comments are permitted again.

I had the opportunity to drive the car not long after 911Jetta bought it. Very nice car.

Can we ship them my cobalt c2 instead? Seriously, that car looks so good, it makes me consider leaving this one NB and original color.
