This ‘93 C2 looks to being heading up on BaT soon. From what I can tell the car was originally finished in Cobalt Blue with a Classic Gray interior.

Interesting claims to be British Racing Green 21A 9 2 yet the color doesn't show as PTS and there is no 21A 9 2 I can find in any of my documents or the rennbow other than it being added in 2023. 21A would be the correct code but not one from the Porsche palette of 1993. This would be a very unique car if it is real. Being a RoW example it is hard to say but I find this rather strange. Everything looks to be in order however the rear badge does seem to be mounted a bit high the 2 seems crooked, The front crest is from a 93 and the wheel caps aren't correct for Cup I's. Which is odd for such low miles. I hope they fix the smile before the auction.

I guess we will see when they list it and offer better photos.

In the video you can see the option code sticker and “L37U” is the exterior code for Cobalt Blue and “MX” is the interior code for Classic Gray leatherette/leather. The car being from Venezuela and having an exterior plus interior color change is more than enough to make me walk.

Too bad. I have a soft spot for greens and got mildly interested enough to click through to see the car. Once again, the truth comes out from the Sherlock Holmes’ crew here.

Don’t know how I didn’t notice that. Assumed the option sticker would match the car. This sticker is not for a 944, but for a 1992 968 coupe. The order type code for a 1992 968 coupe is 944 044.

the car looks great in BRG and upon initial view, the repaint certainly looks comprehensive. here's my question - why do a color change on a cobalt car? either you don't realize the overall appeal of the color or the paint was trashed and the owner just really wanted a green 964. interior change seems to have been done well also. this will likely be a hard no for the purists, but maybe something someone can modify to their specific tastes. that BR green does look awfully good, though. i hope the buyer does their due diligence and knows what they is getting.

I didn't look at the video but yes way too many ?? with this one. Seems there isn't much honest about this car. BTW you're forgiven for not picking up on that. LOL

At least they didn't desecrate a cobalt 964 to paint int British racing green.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...era-2-coupe-5/

I was not surprised that this was RNM though I was very surprised that the bidding stalled out at $126K. Given it is a 25K mile, one owner, attractive color combo, '93 C2 coupe I figured it would go closer to the Baltic blue car last month. What am I missing?

I will be interested to see how the BRG car goes when it hits BAT. It says 16K kilometers though the underside photos seem much higher. The frunk option sticker in the album seems to say 964. . Something tells me it is going to get slammed in the comments.

I felt like this was a $130 car right now, so this seemed very close to me. I'm local to the seller, and spoke with him, and he's not really an enthusiast owner. Just an older gentleman with a very original 964. He told me he just doesn't enjoy driving the car much anymore and hinted that it's getting too valuable for him to want to drive it much. So, not sure what he was expecting, but I'm betting reserve was 130.

This will be interesting, too: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...ra-2-coupe-26/

Never seen Linen before. Anyone know how rare that is? Whoever fitted the wheels should be scolded, but looks really nice otherwise.

that's $131k to the buyer and that sounds about right to me. seems to me the seller should have let that car go. here's why, i think most buyers are thinking i have to do suspension, wheels, exhaust, and any other personal mods and that adds up! not to mention any deferred maintenance that might be necessary. somehow i doubt many 964 buyers plan to leave a car like that completely stock. it might not be a bad choice in the long run, but i don't think that's the mindset of the typical 964 owner. i think that was pretty fair money for both parties, honestly.

%100 agreed.

I do think BAT is going a little overboard with the TMU on the black car, it's a deal killer. My car had its speedo redone at NoHo Speedometer while it sat in the shop getting oil lines and a major service, does that make mine TMU also? The speedo conked out on the way home from a canyon run and was at the shop the following week; it may have gone 8 miles unaccounted for. Speedo was dropped off and picked up at NoHo as they will not take the speedo out for you, you bring it in and they do not EVER adjust mileage.
