In addition to what the others said of disconnecting the battery, I also always remove the dme and klr and then there is nothing to worry about. The key is to make sure you have a good ground.

Also, I bought a used custom exhaust from Lart quite a while ago which was welded on his car. I couldn't believe how perfectly everything lined up when I put it on my car.
Thanks for the input. I am going to use a technique a guy showed me that is suppose to keep things from moving/warping. I will report back on the results. Should have it done tomorrow night.

Been doing a lot of research wrt timing. Here is my first cut E85 timing map for Thursdays dyno. I will probably push it a bit more later. Spark plug gap will be 0.025". Any input appreciated.

Any numbers you're chasing Shawn?

For fun i'm guessing you're going to make 450 rwhp @ 18 psi at around 5900 rpm. Peak torque ~ 3500 rpm. Probably earlier.
For 25psi on e85, 520rwhp, probably more

Pauly,

Here are the goals I am chasing, they are from the original post:

I have some new goals for the build:

- 550 rwhp/500+ ftlbs torque at 6300rpm, E85, 20-22psi
- 1 bar at 3200rpm bottom end performance
- Total cost for changes under $3260 for everything including new turbo

Wow.. That should be sick than.. For that money?! Than i don't want to know what my goals can be.. If my S2 box can hold the power!

Do you have a list of all the things you've done?

I can see that potential!

I've got a few questions. As this could possibly be the next thing to the engine I do in the hunt for more power.
Being still under square, how much could this setup rev to under the reliability circumstances? Or will a dry sump still be needed to properly achieve 7500 rpm?

The only thing holding me up from reving past 6800 rpm is IICR the bearings and the overall weight of the internals. Oiling i think?

Are you planning to run that much boost with E85, or is the X Axis not configurable through the software?

That's a good question. I don't think it is, but then I also haven't tried adjusting the column headings either.

Might be interesting to see if you can (or a possible feature/enhancement request for Rogue if you can't...) for those who have no intention of running 28psi, get a little more resolution into tuning for lower boost levels.

Do you think you could put these values in an Excel file and do a 3D rendering? Too lazy to do it myself...

I gather from that table that you have not quite identified at what RPM peak torque occurs since you increase timing pretty much proportionally with RPM there. Still these values seem a bit extreme to me, even with E85. You may get huge levels of cylinder pressure.

Could you post a log showing boost vs rpm?
