I went to the track tonight. Wasn't bad. I got in three Shakedown runs on the new set up. I gave up for two reasons.

1. It was hillbilly truck night. - 2 truck forums decided to get together tonight at the track. Seems like everyone went. It was just dumb. Line was an hour long.

2. 90deg temps and 100% humidity. not kidding 90-100% today.


But.. it was stil a success.
Car was a completely different beast. Before. I couldn't get off the line because of bog. Today. It was INSTANT spool. Screw the dyno graph. There was no lag at all. revved at line. Spunn out too much . Shifted into second. No lag. just power. spun the wheels some more. Third finally hooked. G-tech told the whole story. only .5 g's through second gear (Spinning) Third gear pulled up to .7 g's. Second gear should be higher than third at the top. This was at 18psi. I turned it up to 22. But the MPH sucked. It was only 123.8. (Slow roll start that time and rolled into second. Could be the reason for missing 1-2mph-(Excuses, excuses) have that video to pove the retarded start I did) at that psi, I was expecting at LEAST 126. I'm blaming it on humidity. I need an excuse. I really had high hopes for MPH tonight. That was my third run. I quit after that. It seemed I wasn't going to get the mega numbers I was hoping for, but didn't really care. IT RAN! Spooled insanely fast. had power everywhere. The feel of the run was buttery smooth. No stress. it felt like the motor could take 20 more psi. (like I'm going to do that) Sooooo different. It felt like the car was going to fall apart before. The run up to 124mph was almost boring. I LIKE IT> It is truly road race ready. Power is everywhere.
No need to do any Drag racing again until Late fall. After I've beaten the hell out of it on the road course.

Sadly yes. Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

There truly was a couple more miles an hour in there. But still crappy MPH for the power I'm suppose to be making. All the big turbo guys were bitchin abou the humidity. I'll roll with that complaint.

The beginning was cut short. But you can see me just rolling in on the throttle. I was expecting to break stuff at that power, so It was just a soft test run. I drove straight to the staging lane right after I realized the car was happy, but the line extended into the pits. I just drove onto the trailer.

Good Show...... Proper ECU and engine mapping will solve all issues and eliminate Urban Myths.......

The Motec and turbo changed the car completely. It is now an Up-to Date accelerating car. Smooth everywhere.

run looks good considering you were rolling into the throttle.

and like I said before 124mph is moving. I consider a c6zo6 to be one of the fastest production cars on the market currently and they trap 126-128 down in texas. Considering they put down 440-450rwhp and you were putting down what?? 415hp?? the trap speed is pretty close.

124mph from a roll is a beast of a car. My goal would be able to run with a stock c6zo6 with my mods on race fuel. Perhaps that will happen if you are that close with your 22psi and e85.

My car is MUCH lighter. I wasn't actually putting down more than around 390whp on that run, no matter how bad I rolled on it. Power jut wasn't there. Im goin to make myself feel better with poor weather conditions as my excuse.

Nice MPH.

F now I have to get busy. I hate watching others get up there while I'm f'n around. But my car is getting some attention other than under the hood .

I thought you would blow your last time away completely first time out. Next time I'm sure you will set a new record

I hate when too many cars go. Our weds. are so packed you might get 2 runs and any other day is for sure only 2 runs (if that) plus 1 race.

oo thats right I forgot you are extremely light. Now I see your disapointment

You'll get it. If it makes you feel any better if I trapped 124mph i'd be extatic.
