11's finally. Top 20 1/4 Timeslips. -- All Video 1st Page

.I personally love to carve corners, but I do of course find it fun to blast as fast as I can in a straight line. :burnout:

So.... Who has themselves.. not a friend.. done the 1/4 in their 951 and what was your best times? G-tech considered, but time slips are much appreciated!
1/4 time / MPH and 60'. It gives me a complete picture of whether you spun a lot, shifted slow/fast etc.

Not a bad 60'. But with your new configuration, I'd say it's time to go see some 12's! Should be around 110mph.

You have a V8. You've GOTTA have a 1/4 mile timeslip?

schadenfreude 07-25-2007 07:39 PM

Here's my best time from the other weekend. I have an open diff and fairly worn tyres so launching was very difficult. Also I was still getting used to the 'launch control' (2.2k rev limiter). Last year the best I could do was 15 sec (with AFM chips, 15psi, and worn suspension). This was with 3/4 of a tank of fuel too, which would have cost some time:

60 ft: 2.478
330 ft: 6.394
660 ft: 9.395
MPH: 83.67 (134.66 kph)
1000 ft: 11.871
ET: 13.983
MPH: 107.86 (173.59 kph)

Launch limiter seems a little low, but I guess you're still spinning though. You Aussies have some crazy cars. You know a good set of sticky tires really offsets the need for a LSD (to a point) With some stick, I can see you right near 12's.

Pretty stout numbers so far.

Hi 95ONE- No times for me yet. Wow, your weight is incredible. Must be an awesome car to drive! What is your trap?

95ONE 07-25-2007 09:22 PM

Just finishing it. Still have tons of little things to do like Horn button and stuff. Cleaner wiring etc. But she moves! Getting the Nitto 555R's Mounted tomorrow so I can go find out what the traps are going to be on Friday. It's raining here so much though. I'm praying for Dry at least that night. I'm going to try to keep the 60' at 2.0's. Any faster and I'm afraid I'll break the CV Cage. I'll save the Hardcore launches for Fall.

Horrible ET with a 117mph trap as I rolled across the line without power after the crank trigger shut me down just after the 1000' mark.

DVC 07-25-2007 11:00 PM

John- Sweet pics! I really dig that.

95ONE- Which size 555R's are you going to run? I had some on my Lightning and they were darn good in the twisties as well. They need to be warmed up a little bit before you launch to get the full effect. Anyway, I'm very interested in your experience with them as my car doesn't hook till 4th gear.

Somehow I think I'll vote for the last picture.

LuisGT3 07-25-2007 11:21 PM

What is the fastest verified (with a timeslip or video) 944T time?
No "it should run this or trap that" , actual times please.

95ONE 07-25-2007 11:46 PM

Porshhhhh951. I know you did it to hear this. but after seeing the pictures. That is a nice A$$.

MPD47... Great MPH.!! Certain 11's of you get back out there. Get back on that project PLEASE. One of my favorites on here.

DVC... 275 / 40 / 17. Although they are around an inch thinner than the Azenis 615's in the same size. I'll let you know soon.

LUISJR993. . I Plan on doing as you say as soon as humanly possible. 2 days -1 week.
