My clutch went **** up on Thursday before the mile. My launching techniques are obviously poor

Son of a.... Isn't that ALWAYS the way it is.
Love the video. I can't wait to get my car track ready. I'm dying to get out there and meet some old/new friends. (I'm 5-7 years behind at this point)

kelly, mike, and ricky all killed it out there. TT vipers. I hered gary was there as well as heffner who was working on mikes and kelly's rides.

If you want alot of pics and videos from the texas mile I can make a thread or something.

Well I tried but the turbo wasn't up to task. I would put up a slip but it got lost on the way home (very enjoyable ride let me tell you) smoke and used up 4 quarts of oil in 30 miles. I didn't realize the turbo was going to start leaking oil past the cold seal until 1/2 way home. I even got pulled over twice for how much smoke it was putting out .

Everything is fine other than my turbo it went a 13.70 @93 but it also went almost 93 in the 1/8. It was on a good run. This is what I get for trying to use the hot side off the k26, Or maybe it was just something wrong in my local turbo rebuild.

It is apart now and my supercharged car is soon to be apart for the next round. I'll put up a thread when I get a little further.

1/4 mile pulls is hard on these cars & costly.

Our year is at an end up here.

I have been thinking about running my little s/c car before the teardown but with my luck at the track lately it will finally break too. It is actually the one on the list anyway. I currently am spinning the crap out of the blower and making about 17-18psi at redline and 15 off idle but with my luck I'll take it up and it will either rain or break. I think I'll just take some time and put my efforts into one car for the moment and try to move up the list .

I need to invest in another trailer. oops did I jsut say that Damn here I go again

I didn't see you so hopefully you DIDN'T go last night. HOLY CRAP. 400+ cars. Two runs in ~3.5 hours. LAME.

I went to the track tonight. Wasn't bad. I got in three Shakedown runs on the new set up. I gave up for two reasons.

1. It was hillbilly truck night. - 2 truck forums decided to get together tonight at the track. Seems like everyone went. It was just dumb. Line was an hour long.

2. 90deg temps and 100% humidity. not kidding 90-100% today.


But.. it was stil a success.
Car was a completely different beast. Before. I couldn't get off the line because of bog. Today. It was INSTANT spool. Screw the dyno graph. There was no lag at all. revved at line. Spunn out too much . Shifted into second. No lag. just power. spun the wheels some more. Third finally hooked. G-tech told the whole story. only .5 g's through second gear (Spinning) Third gear pulled up to .7 g's. Second gear should be higher than third at the top. This was at 18psi. I turned it up to 22. But the MPH sucked. It was only 123.8. 123.78 to be exact. (Slow roll start that time and rolled into second. Could be the reason for missing 1-2mph-(Excuses, excuses) have that video to pove the retarded start I did) at that psi, I was expecting at LEAST 126. I'm blaming it on humidity. I need an excuse. I really had high hopes for MPH tonight. That was my third run. I quit after that. It seemed I wasn't going to get the mega numbers I was hoping for, but didn't really care. IT RAN! Spooled insanely fast. had power everywhere. The feel of the run was buttery smooth. No stress. it felt like the motor could take 20 more psi. (like I'm going to do that) Sooooo different. It felt like the car was going to fall apart before. The run up to 124mph was almost boring. I LIKE IT> It is truly road race ready. Power is everywhere.
No need to do any Drag racing again until Late fall. After I've beaten the hell out of it on the road course.

I'll get some decent video in a couple of weeks.
the three I have are crap. My digital camera stopped working a few weeks ago. And I had to resort to the short video clips available on a digital camera. - not worth the effort.
