Hmm, the owner's website: http://www.erik27.com/todd/

Yeah, if I had 3 928s in my garage I'd be embarrassed enough to block the windows too

I sure hope that it's faster than the 1000HP 928

How to their gearboxes survive that power?
I mean double the size and double the power of what we can do with a 951.. It's doable but the box? Won't it just well explode?

Anyway - I think Lart finally found a subject most of the 928 board are in agreement with him on.

Funny thing is, his time is still better then the last two 944's I saw at the drag strip, and the NOS shot he put through his car would have tossed a 944 R&P into the next county.
from the 1000hp 928

Syd, you should remember that thread you had some memorable posts at that thread

And double the weight... those 928's are fat.

So basically if you half the motor, pistons, turbos, you get a twin cam 2.5L i4 it's got just over 400whp. Nice.

Then if you halve the weight of the car, you get a nice warm 951. Great idea!!

He defiantly has a nice exhaust on that!

Being Australian.. it's in out blood to like V8's... so that engine to me is bloody awesome. but i know my car will eat any standard or slightly modded aussy v8.. even some high modded ones.

if i could. id try and fit the 928 engine.. then boost it.. in to a 944 but it's not that easy..

Lol yes I did. What a joke that was. Iirc it barely broke 100mph.

I'm sure this build mentioned above is quite a bit more advanced. Seeing as how it's twin turbo. I'm sure it makes good power. However, without some kind of actual performance data I don't believe anything.

At over 800 rwhp and given the weight he should trap around 140. I don't believe it would though. I seriously doubt it would trap over 125.

Transmission won't hold up. BTDT with the old Tilo 928. It'll go for a while but ultimately the trans will break due to the torque.

It may. But its an auto. So it has different power handling characteristics than the tilo 928, which was a race car and was a manual.

The power you see on that car is quite verified. BTW - you may like this little bit of info - its e85. And only at just over 21psi. Much room to grow, and with the TC and gear-specific boost, I think many may surprised.
