As follow up to post #4418:
Price was agreed upon last week prior to me reaching out. The Carfax revealed incorrect mileage that the seller was unaware of: was 85K in 1998, so add an ADDITIONAL 48K. Gentleman/doctor seemed genuine enough, so maybe he bought a car that may have been misrepresented. Car remains for sale. He told me $10K takes it.
Nice looking low mile 1984 5 speed for sale in my hometown owned by a local Doctor. I'm sure I can get the skinny on this one if anyone is interested. I pretty sure I saw it once at the Kokomo Country Club but didn't know who owned it. Would have to twist my arm to conduct a PPI if anyone is seriously interested.
Showing center vent temperatures of 40s and 50s is not proof that your A/C works. Quite the opposite in fact. If your center vent temperature isn’t in the 30s don’t bother with the picture.
Note to self: Take vent thermometer photo in February.
Not a 928 per se...but interesting auction going on over at BAT for a set of 968 17" Cup I wheels in the correct front offset for a 928. Looks like an good alternative to finding the "uber-rare" GTS Cup I wheels and the added bonus of not having to deal with RDK sensors. Bidding is already sprightly with 6 days to go.
Called and texted within 15 min of this original post . Was contacted, My only catch was lets meet at my bank so I can pay you. The original post stated Porsche dealer would only offer ln 20's.
Again lets meet at you'r convenience "only during bank hours at my bank" and lets work out a deal. ...............INSERT CRICKETS CHIRPING...............Repeated for next 4 days hounded this add.
Would not respond. So I'm calling BS SCAM SCAM SCAM

IIRC the original offer he stated the dealer made him was $12K. Now he says they paid him 4 times more then all of us "idiots" offers. Clearly he is FOS and just plain weird for going to the effort to post what he did below.
Now for all you idiot lowballers that lost out on that '93 Craigslist cream-puff above, here is your chance to redeem yourself on another '93. This time on BaT. Black over black auto, 80K miles.

My offer was bring the car to my bank, any regions in metro Atlanta their everywhere here, then lets work out a deal. That's when the seller went silent. Any one want to meet someone off craigslist with 50k plus in your pocket ? If so I'll tell you where and when I could use the free $.
Yes, insane is right considering you can still buy a set of these wheels new from Porsche for roughly $300 LESS than the winning bid! Now...that's a real auction!

@ Vandit. Fronts are available from Porsche but rears are back-ordered. I checked about 2 weeks ago.

... or read the WSM, an A/C service book, or do a Rennlist search for the correct procedure...

R12 is COLD! Actually got colder and stays cold.
That’s pretty good. As long as it is in the 30s it will cool adequately. I’m not pleased unless temps are in the 20s. But that’s only possible if you’ve done way-more of an A/C service than usual.

Those are the 928 Cup 1 P/N's in you quote...wonder what the availability would be for the 968 Cup 1 P/N's?
