Straight up, the jump post cover must be the most coveted possession of Porsche mechanics.
Technically, it is missing both the jump post cover and the jump post drip shield.
I saw a video that showed how to make a cool cat toy out of Porsche 928 jump post covers and drip shields. You need about 100 sets of them, so I've been "forgetting" to put them back for a couple of years. Once I have a 5 gallon bucket full I can make my cats happy.
NOT!
Seriously, after working on other people's 928s for about 15 years now, I have come to the conclusion that being able to put something back together the way you found it and not have any pieces left over is NOT a skill that has been acquired by most of the folks that, prior to me, worked on the 928s I get.
It got to the point here that Roger just tosses 5-10 of them in my box each month and I just toss them on the cars when they leave. I always figured if I've got a dirty one sitting some place that I just exchanged it for a new one when I forgot to put the old one back on.

Interesting...this is the same dealer that was selling the ultra-low mileage 87 S4 in Lagoon Green a few months ago. Looking at their website they have a varied collection of luxury cars on offer, yet the background of the pictures has the look/feel of a private collection. Beautiful car!
PS, anyone interested in this 'low-mile' 86.5 (although maybe not at new CL listing price) that was on eBay too: https://neworleans.craigslist.org/ct...559583685.html
I was interested when it was on eBay, I pulled a VIN report on it a couple of weeks ago - not the AutoCheck details that seller provides. The claimed mileage didn't hold-up to what I saw.
This one is in my neck of the woods. If the mileage is legit (72K kilometers = 45K miles) and the maintenance is somewhat current this looks like a reasonable asking price. Venice Blue?
^ Wow that seems like a very good deal. So what differentiates an '88 Euro from a ROW model? All I know is that the engines are the same with the Euro having a slightly lower curb weight.

Not much...biggest difference is the lighting arrangements from NA delivered cars. Some minor differences in wiring and switch gear. This one is likely a Japanese import so it probably has the CAT overheat protection system as well.

Japanese - no sunroof maybe??
VIN shows only a tinted windshield as an option.
