Oh my the yellow 928. I looked at it in early January when it was on Craigslist in Portland. I didn't post it for fear of being ostracized by the group. The previous owner was a very interesting character who did the majority of work on it. It started and moved easily in 1st and reverse. I couldn't climb in the car because it was too strange with the upholstery and felt like I'd catch something. It had sat outside in a tented storage area. Kudos to the new owner for taking it to get serviced, but the timing belt was over 15 years old. he had never changed it while he owned it for 15 years. The modifications were really strange.
On ebay it looks like its at 3100 right now reserve not met. 56 watchers. Price when I saw it was 2500 and he was adamant he wasn't dropping the price. Guessing reserve is around 4300 based on his costs.
If anyone is sincerely interested you can get in touch with me. I can also look at it again too
For sale: A 1984 Porsche 928S: 5-speed, red with black leather, front V8 engine, 48k
Nice looking low mile 1984 5 speed for sale in my hometown owned by a local Doctor. I'm sure I can get the skinny on this one if anyone is interested. I pretty sure I saw it once at the Kokomo Country Club but didn't know who owned it. Would have to twist my arm to conduct a PPI if anyone is seriously interested.
Those last two cars are a great example of how important professional photos are when it comes to properly representing a car for sale. That Luxsport car looks fantastic.

FYI, It is not unusual for an early BLACK GTS to have been repainted. There was a defect in the paint on the early GTS black cars so bad that Porsche paid to have some disassembled and repainted. Seen it with my own eyes many years ago, shortly after the cars were brand new.
Cheers,
Dave

A few of us made him offers the first time it was up for sale. He never got back to me. I assume he would get in touch with the next highest offerer. I'm sure that wasn't me but mine was a heck of a lot sweeter than the dealer's.
