So what did you do to your 928 Today......

Jim, you deserve a special medal for all the effort you have put into saving your car. Between you, Chris (Landseer), and Dean Fuller I am feeling lazy.....all I did today was top off the transmission fluid, work on the CV boot clamps, and dump a gallon of oil all over the shop floor......plus yard work and all those sorts of things....
You more than earned your 928 wrenches when you dismantled the white car
Did you do the red/balck interior? The seats look great.
Great thing about 928's is regardless of the work you have done there is always more to do. I sometimes look at it and my to do list and wonder what I have been doing over the last 10 months!

Great work Jim! Those look MUCH, MUCH better than when they left my garage a couple of weeks ago!!! Good job! Jim, drive that over tomorrow! I want to see it live and in person!
Here are the door panels I installed and how they look relative to the exterior and the wheels. EURO85 continues to REALLY TURN HEADS I'll tell you!! What a car. I have decided that I will bring the Can-Can rear center console over to EURO85 and move the black one from EURO85 over to the '84. The red one will need to be touched up, but should look really cool in the car! I also have red floor mats (set of 4) coming in Can-Can red too! I think I will be done playing for awhile after that!

You were right, those red door inserts really look great!!!
I will bring the POS (wifes term) over tomorrow afternoon.

Regards, the unfinished nature of our cars, everytime I resolve one problem it seems like I find two more that need to be fixed. Or something stops working that had been working. Today I went out looking for a 20" belt so I can disconnect my air pump, which has just started making a new and unplesant noise. Of course the shortest belt I could find at my usual sources was 21". So, I now need to order the $8 belt and pay $10 in shipping.....

Pulled the leaky radiator , removed the passenger end tank and broke 2 of the small tabs off on each side. Looks like I'll be getting a new radiator instead of changing the tank. While I was in there spotted the AC belt somehow ended up inside out, very strange.

I removed my RMB and replaced with the factory GT muffler in preparation for a Motorsport SLC X-pipe next month. Didn't want it to be too loud.
Weather has been crazy around here. Some areas of Oklahoma have seen a 100+ degree change in temperature in the past week. Record lows, Bartlesville for example hit -28 last week and undoubtedly close to 80 today. A week before the extreme cold we had record snowfalls, including 15" here in Tulsa. I've lived here all my life and have never seen such extremes.

That would be a lot of work to fabricate.

In preparation for moving house packed all (well nearly all) my collection of spares into the back of the GT. It's full! Have to try and make room for the spare crank and spare heads in the back of the SE which is currently full of it's own dissasembled interior.

Put the passenger side front fender liner back in the blue car after I replaced the seal. I had replaced the circular type horns with the louder (and to me more distinctive) trumpet-type horns.
I spent at least two hours tightening the front two bottom cam cover bolts on the passengere side. I had an oil leak caused by the loose bolts. It was past dark when I got done. I will find out tomorrow if the leak is stopped. Here's hoping.

Treated the GTS to a new key head and key chain.
Also, did the LED upgrade to the key head based on a couple of good links I found via Rennlist.

I could not get my camera to zoom in on the install so my pics of the mods are so blurry they are not worth posting, but the above links give really good blown up pics of the procedure. Also, when buying the LED bulb from Radio Shack, just remember long lead goes to battery and short lead is ground. There is some clarification in the link, other than that it's pretty easy.
Some pics of the old vs new head, parts, etc.
