He's right.

After a track day in my other car, while I was checking tyre pressures I could hear a splintering sound, I looked at the disc to see cracks actually growing between the drilled holes.

The discs don't look so cool as they age and groves form between the holes, and they don't help pad life either.

Put new shoes on today.
Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position. Y rated.
This is my third set of them. I like the wear on them. I like them in the rain, and I like them at speed (150+). I stick with what works for me.
Sorry no pic. Couldn't sync phone with my tablet. Anyway they look like 4 black rubber tires - you've seen it before.

Wasn't today but a couple of weeks ago I finally finished the T-Belt and Intake redo on Mike Frye's old '85 manual.
The Powder Coating came out better than expected, I also upgraded the Chain Tensioners to S4 and now all the valve Tappets are really quiet
I parked it up North, where I will enjoy driving a stick next summer (little to no traffic or lights up there

Received a new polishing sponge wheel and decided to test it out on left front fender that had prominent swirl marks(ok - only if you were OCD). I had previously tried buffing by hand with no luck. The Porter DA at speed 6 and polishing wheel in combination with the Meguiars SwirlX did the trick.

Only did one panel tonight but will continue on rest of car...

Simon and Mike H. and I replaced the torque tube and automatic transmission in my GTS. We had previously rebuilt a 25mm torque tube from the 85 parts car and used Constantine bearings. We also replaced the torque convertor seals and bearings and the front pump seals and K-1 valve as well as filter and transmission pan gasket in the replacement transmission while waiting for an opportune Saturday.
October 15 was that oppotune Saturday.

To tell you the God's honest truth, I was glad to have all that help. I needed it. You are older and probably wiser than I, and therefore probably don't need all that help.

Rhonda and I are looking forward to seeing you and Dee next month.
