Thanks Ken...I'll put this on the back burner if I decide to do some mods.

There is huge amounts of good information on x-pipes in this forum, so don't hesitate to search. Some of the more useful threads for me:

There does not seem to be any controversy on whether they work well or not, they do. You will see disagreements on the pro's and con's of using cat's, and various methods to achieve the exact sound you want.

I have so many hobbies that I can't do all of them. I think I'm 100% stock except for the radio and I have to make a decision to make this a real hobby or pass it on to someone with more time.

I'm remodeling my house, trying to play music, harvesting citrus, not doing ANY fishing, and working full time. Problem is, this is probably a once in a lifetime toy and I hate to miss the chance.

Started out to visit Rob E., Greg B., Jim Corenman and the group as they readied Dan H's turquoise car for the trek home to Phoenix. Made it just past the end of the driveway. Pulled back up the hill and attached the fuel pressure gauge. 20PSI on crank. Pump seemed to be running fine. Just not quite enough pressure. Echoing around my diagnostic head: Relay Relay Relay. So I jumpered the FP relay socket and saw full pressure. Plugged a new relay in, full pressure on crank, along with a start (!).

This is the first time the car has stranded me away from my own garage. Fortunately the diagnosis was fast and the fix relatively inexpensive. I'll get another bunch of relays shipped in and do the LH and EZK relays too, just because they've seen the same service and are probably due to weaken the same way.

Special thanks to Santa Jim Bailey, whose sage advice saved me from tearing the pumps and filters out looking for the cause.

Picked it up from the shot today. Had new window rubber put all around. Looks real nice. Then took the wife out to dinner while listening to Journey on CD. Good day.

Wish I could opt in at that level- but think carefully...rare color combo, known history and exceptionally low miles...slap some aero mirrors on it and find a way to keep it...even if you have to mothball it for a while. Given the miles, and depending on what you've already lavished on it- work to address the potentially degraded bits may not be much different either way.

Replaced the ground strap and replumbed the washers eliminating half the hoses and two of the check valves. Functions much better now. Used Acura NSX "wye" fittings as they are a narrower angle and go in the hood better. Put in a new washer pump too as mine had a bit of age. Cleaned up the connections on the washer fluid level indicator with emery cloth.
New ground strap made a nice difference in the indicated voltage at the gauge. Now matches what the output at the battery and jump post say, 13.6. All grounds are cleaned. Still has a parasitic drain I can't find after testing every fuse and relay. Oh well. Battery maintainer works too.

SMTCapeCod, thanks for the notes. I decided to go ahead and put her on the block. I tried to drive sparingly to preserve the mileage this past year but I already put about 2,000 miles on it. We have log trucks and rocks around here and it would kill me to catch a rock like I have several times on my daily driver...a Toyota Solara with 288,000 miles on it. I take her out for dinner once or twice a month....just think of the miles I would rack up driving like I want to.

DANG!!

Tried a few different approaches to the upper control arm (A-arm) nut and it just wouldn't loosen up. Finally had to Dremel off the nut. That sucked!!

There is evidence of an impact in that corner, my guess is they let it ride and never fixed it. Well, now it is out. New will be going back in along with a new lower bearing.

Need the plate that ABS and brake sensors run across above the nut. Kinda dug into it a bit.

Tom and Mark you are getting a call tomorrow :P

I rinsed the garage dust off and detailed her for a little classic car meet coming up. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. I'm not taking her out in the rain now.

Got my new tires installed this morning. These Hankook V12's are much quieter than the Bridgestone runflats that came off, and they seem to handle better. Plus half the price of Michelin Pilot Sports.
