    Hi Adam,
My friend and I bought a '86 1/2 and we're converting it into a race car. Changed it to a manual.
Now we're having some teething problems. Are you experienced with the car or know some one local that is?

    Thanks, Kurt

    Hi Adam,
Looks like you have your Accusump install pretty well sorted. One of the things regarding the Accusump is that if you have aerated oil when charging it, the Acusump will be loaded with aerated oil and discharge that when you need it. While that is probably better than no oil, it could be a problem. Some fixes for that I suppose such as running the oil through a de-aerator before sending it to the Accusump. Mounting it with the outlet down so any air that separates out of the oil within the Accusump will be in the top part of the oil contained therein. I have my Electric valve connected to the ignition switch and when I turn on the switch, I can see the oil pressure gauge rise to about 2.5 bar for pre oiling before starting the engine. All is going good here. GT stroker (does that make it a GT S) is running great with 35k+ miles. I'm currently building the biggest baddest Corvair airplane engine ever conceived.
