Would like to have done the tail lights, but the double filament brake light was to me an issue. Also didn't want the rear running lights to mismatch the brake light if I changed out the rear lights to LED's.
I used an Oznium prewired Superflux 4 Chip LED. This LED comes in a waterproof housing. Very bright - very cheap. I filed it down with a fine rasp till almost near flat. This really improved dispersion. I seated this LED in a 5/8 OD x 3/8ID rubber grommet. The LED sat as high out of the bulb housing as the original incandescent filament. Expoxyed both into the existing bulb housing. As I knew I would file down the unit, I ordered white and then colored it orange with a Sharpee brush. I'm happy with the result. Was very easy to do. Will do rear sidemarkers another day.

Finished rear sidemarkers in about 45 mins. Disabled sidemarker bulb control as per Borland's write up.

Charged up the AC and finally got to test the Dwayne Head unit Relay Replacement procedure I did months ago. She is blowing cold in front and rear now. Just in time for the coming summer.

Also, inspected TT and built up WYAIT list. Rear vibration dampener in TT is free floating basically migrated all the way back to TC. Not good. I assume front dampener is loose too. I’m getting bad vibes at 2200-3100 in and out of gear.

The dampner is a pound or so of cast iron and there is only one in the TT, at the back. If it's floating, and you can push it back far enough into the TT, you could pin it with a couple of small bolts.

I washed the floor initially with Simple Green after vacuuming, and then sprayed the interior with a low scent Fabreeze and closed the doors for a few hours. This product actually sequesters non-polar molecules and makes them more soluble to a subsequent wash - I used a citrus-based cleaner for a second wash. I'm pleased with the results as it removed that stale oils and mold smell that lingered even after removal of carpets and upholstery.

I have since installed B-Quiet Extreme- one of a number of sounds deadening products:

A layer of closed cell foam will be next before the carpets are installed.

Replaced the rheostat for the instrument cluster lights. I can see! I can see (the instruments)!

Related - used rheostat for sale - contact via PM for details.

Also replaced the tube for cooling air that attaches to the alternator.

I think you will be pleased with the results. Fresh. Clean. Quiet.

Since my car came from Japan, it is for right hand drive roads.
That said the head lights shine up to the left and tend to blind on coming traffic. I had them adjusted very low.
I finely found a used pair of left hand drive H4 lamps that a kind RL member sold me

My euro lamps have the marking on the left (your right in the pic)

None of what you wrote is correct. What you HAD was for left hand drive roads and what what you HAVE are a pair of European (E Code) lenses, build for right hand drive roads. The E Codes that you just bough are not North American lenses either (H4s were never installed or legal in NA). However, they are supperior to the H5s that the S4s came with on this side of the pond.

I washed it inside and out, cleaned the windows and buffed it with mothers polish.
Then I drove it to the first Crusin the dub show and shine this year (meets every Wednesday)
Got all covered in dust while sitting there from the dirty winter streets, but lots of people had lots of questions and interest.
When it was time to leave I believe my smoke show was the best. IMHO

Oh ya, the root beer was good.

Spent the day going through extra parts and stipping the final bits off off the parts car. Its almost ready to send the shell to the scrap yard. The car was hit hard in the front and already picked over by the time I got it so i'm not upset it couldn't be brought back. Another parts car should be arriving shortly will have to see how bad it is before deciding to break it up for parts, its a red automatic, two strikes already.
