Finally got around to defeating the brake and parking/marker light warning after converting to LEDs. Thank you (again) Ed!

Fixed a little casual vandalism damage. Took the car shopping, came out to find the passenger side mirror glass skewed at a funny angle. Motor runs and makes noise, but mirror not connected to motor anymore. So off with the glass, and carefully put the little pins on the little nylon racks back into their sockets on the glass holder part. Ten minutes all in, and no vandals were harmed. Dammit... It's Amarica. Give 'em a fair trial and shoot 'em.

Car runs great, AC got a casual workout yesterday, and it got fresh fuel. Second tank this year, and it's my DD. Must mean I've been gone too much.

My rear suspension, trans and TT are out The shocks are ready for dis-assembly, the TC cover is off, and the vib damper is already in the trash as it was completely destroyed. Tomorrow will see the shocks broken down and packaged for shipment to Bilstein's repair shop in CA. Hopefully the new batch of 28mm super bearings from Constantine will be ready soon. In the interim I have some suspension bushings to replace and a mess of trans work to do.

Got my door panels reinstalled after the DIY recover. Speakers are behind the door panel vinyl and sound pretty good without the perforations.

Old and new panels below. I used world upholstery's spray on dye to recolor the armrests. Still need to recover the door inserts.

Took mine to the track for my first time. 300 miles there, 181 on the track and 300 home. She did awesome except some wear on my tires. I would not need to put her through that again. Time for a track car!

Post Front tow eye

I tried removing the aluminum plug from the front tow eye hole. First with a hex key I stripped the hole, despite having soaked in PB Blaster. Then I tried a large EZ Out borrowed from Wayne Strutt - no luck as I didn't have an extension to take the end beyond the bumper cover. So finally I drilled it out, and then used picks to clean up the treads:

A thread chaser would have helped, but I didn't want to wait for the one circulating on the RL list. I then put in the 'official' P-car replacement rubber bung from Roger:

After 9 months finally got the car off of jack stands after replacing the transmission pump whose torque converter tabs I had managed to damage during a torque tube and converter cover bearing replacement last spring. This is to be immediately followed by an overdue TB/WP/Porkensioner job and (if my stamina holds) an intake refresh and then motor mounts/OPG - basically all of the typical 100k stuff.

Taking my Dec '06 battery to Pep Boys to find out if it's dying ... has already lasted longer than any other car battery I've ever owned ...

Got started on stage 0.25 of my brake refresh project. 4 Hrs of right rear work, including cleaning and basic vacuum bleeding. Plan is to do all four wheels/rotors/calipers, then a section-by-section vacuum bleed to firm up the pedal. Pics and a dedicated thread will follow. One down, three to go.

I fixed a power window switch in a parking lot with a standard size flat head screw driver, a panel screw and a paper clip. I should get some sort of medal for being resourceful.

Not today, yesterday.. had a new clutch rubber line installed after it went south upon arriving in Austin to see oldest son.. :P

This Friday have it dropped off at body shop to have front fascia repainted, rock chips and such.

Still contemplating having the rear spoiler smoothed and painted body color... Hmmmmmmmm
