Replaced the water bridge rubber gaskets today and found the centre o ring was rock hard and split and sealed with brown silicone , don't you just love garages that cut corners

Also all belts back on and SC belt tensioned , just need to re fit the inlet manifold now.

Buy an injector noid light to verify that your injectors are pulsing.

This one works great.

Verify your coil. Check for volts going in, check for plugs firing with a plug tester.

If you have firing plugs, and pulsing injectors, and fuel pressure, your car should run. Figure out which is not happening, and go from there.

Is that rim bent now or is it just the angle of the camera?

Popped cover, checked timing belt tension at 113k - perfect and unchanged from 105k, and unchanged from 100k when belt changed.

Well I installed the new MAP sensor that came today. Its amazing how much easier it is to set up the engine with the correct parts.

I also installed and got to test my new head lamps.
Here is what I installed

this is the difference. I replaced the left first and took a picture. Much better.

Mine's an 82, it comes with sealed bulbs, right? I've yet to investigate my headlamps since I bought the car. I probably should plan ahead and figure out what I actually need.

Default Back on the road after 3 months

Just finished an intake refresh where I replaced every hose and sensor that was available. Repainted the intake but not game to tackle the cam covers. Mostly covered in the 86 with the organ pipes anyway.

Really enjoyed the challenge but it is great to get it back on the road. Tomorrow it will get a good wash and another drive.

Finally got around to getting windows tinted. They did an great job, one piece on rear side windows too! Went with 30 all around. Also got around to taking a pick of my amp cover. Basically just a piece of new carpet with binding on one edge which I then glued to a piece of sheet metal and bent around to fit.

and replaced AC freeze switch... no more turning off randomly then having to raise hood and give the old one a thump to get compressor to turn back on again!

Your ride is looking sweet. Why don't you take a nice picture of it, and use it for your avatar picture? T
