looking mighty fine Dan
Today we took it for a 700km round trip; 30c and she performed flawlessly, cool tunes and cool car.
That makes a grand total of 1500km since Monday....summer of 928 fun

This morning I decided to try and chase my lean running 3000 rpm idle.
Took the intake off and found one small vac line off but I don't think this is the problem.
Still nice and clean though
I need to test the IAC valve to make sure that it is not stuck open

Is the compressor running when you turn the ac on?
look through this info.

Finally took some time to get the cross member and motor mounts out. Next is removing the oil pan so I can install a new pan gasket.
Then major cleaning. Then more cleaning. And more cleaning.
Then installing the new motor mounts and new pan gasket. Once I get that buttoned up I can install my newly rebuild steering rack, tie rods, and Delrin rack mount bushings.
Then I need to put in a new water pump and Porkensioner, plus whatever other wear items I identify while I am doing that.
Then hopefully I can start it up and drive it around a bit.

I drove it. 275 mile round trip.
My brother in-law is headed to Afghanistan tomorrow-civilian security gig. He is the one that got me hooked on 928's almost 20 years ago. He had a very nice 82 Euro.
He never got to check out my car after adding the turbo. So I made sure to let him take a drive before he heads out.
He now has a very quick 99 Z-28 that I will be adding a procharger to while he is away......

Had a father/son day at 6 Flags in New Jersey.
A couple hundred miles round trip.
Drove the **** out of her.
Only problem was 3 traffic jams on the way down.
On the way home I95 was great and fast, but still got off and drove the extra 20 miles on the Garden State Parkway to avoid the GW bridge. Smooth sailing. Aircon on.
Son loved it when I turned on the lights and the headlights popped up.
Got some big thumbs up along the way!

Drove 656km, including 505km in Germany with several long stretches of no speed limit (you got to love Germany and their autobahns!) and safe enough driving conditions to do around 260km/h (160+ mph) a few times.
Not enough free road though to do the acclaimed 275km/h (172 mph), as there was always a slower driver getting into the fast lane and safety always comes first. However: I'm fully convinced that she would get there, as there was still enough "vrrroooommm" acceleration power left :-) !
It is also a myth that "everybody" in Germany is going 250+ km/h, almost nobody did (one or two fast Audi's). Unfortunately did not saw any other 928, is anybody still driving them in Germany?
