Thanks for the nice offer.

If I get stuck, I'll certainly yell.

BTW, how'd you convince him to get the haircut? I'm trying to get my 11 y.o. son to get a haircut, but he refuses.

I try to be nice to everybody.

I just thought it was funny, like I have said before, your a funny man Greg, but I laughed out loud when I read that.

I thought, man that would be great if we could give something back to GB.

Hey - GB is now attaching pictures to his own posts. People here showed the man how to do it. So we can all pass knowledge around.

Really hoping for some 5 speed innards tips as well. One can wish at least.

The guy that offered help is in high school down here. Great 928 family. They race and staff at VIR. Just trying to help you guys.

Thanks It was great meeting you and your wife at SITM. You need to get one of your cars from the fleet and get it down on the track sometime.

I try to enjoy everyone. Like I said...you never know who is going to know/have something you might need. No one is ever going to know everything. The offer was very honest and cool. I appreciated it.

Its good for the next generation to be engaged preserving and enjoying them. My kid has driven one he bought and fixed to a 928 event and is in the dakotas right now following this thread, half planning, half hoping for his next 928.

Getting pointers is great, sharing that is priceless. Thanks for the thread, Greg.

Leaky head gaskets cause:

Let me see...there must be a good block somewhere in there...

Count the throttle body assemblies on this table alone and you quickly get the idea of how many of these suckers Kyle has taken apart , in the last week.

The good news is that he finally found a decent block with decent pistons in it, this afternoon. It is apart and in the cleaning process.
