Well said. I think we are all human and it is very easy to send a message that comes off wrong, here or anywhere in life. One thing that I find really helps me is to read my messages, emails, and texts before sending them. Often times I see the issues and edit before sending or posting. The tone is much harder to control when you are not speaking with a person face to face.
Such is our digital age, I see it in my kids and it is really scary. We are losing compassion/respect and the ability to effectively communicate with other humans.

I just don't understand your function, here.....even remotely understand.
Rennlist has, clearly degraded during your "ownership". Many of the very technical people have been "chased" away and the post counts are quite dismal, from the past.
When people begin to trash threads, with personal attacks, seems like that is when a moderator used to step in, instead of sitting back and seemingly enjoy "feeding the fire".
Randy and I got along very well. (Perhaps he despised me, as you indicate, but kept this hidden, because I worked on his car?) I really liked the guy. He was equal and fair, quick to judge and penalize for serious violations of "his rules". Primarily wanted Rennlist to be a discussion about 928's and any personal attacks were cleared up, instantly. If what was said was not "additive" to the actual thread, it was gone. (Clearly, ICS America's first post #26 would not have lasted for more than a few minutes. Nothing there to add to the thread, just attacking. Bigfoot would be long gone, as he never has anything positive to contribute, just loves to attack, first one vendor and now I'm apparently the next. The problem being that I've got a huge line of fantastic products, unmatched in the entire world.
Gretchen had some sort of a hidden agenda....promoting another entity or something else. We clearly did not "mix" well. People say: "Because this is the Internet and things get said/misunderstood and people are somewhat protected by distance, if we were all tossed into the same room, we would all be great buddies, because of our shared passion." I'd love to meet Gretchen in person, to see if this is true. I'm dubious, but time seems to heal things.
Dr. Bob (apparently not a moderator, at all, but some sort of sublevel assistant) was the best...ever. Eliminated all of the personal attacks, completely. Made it clear that Roger and I were not to comment or get involved with each other, ever. He said that whoever violated that agreement would be instantly banned. That held until Roger's "record setting" libelous attack on me, which you refused to edit or remove, much less enforce the "written and absolutely enforced" agreement.
That's when the "tide" really turned and I lost all respect for you. It has certainly gone downhill, since then, especially after your complete "inaction" over the attacks on me over the front suspension socket.
Dr. Bob was certainly involved in Rennlist's very best "era", with lots of good technical support, for the members, from very knowledgeable people.
You....you are quick to blame me for the "dumpster fire, when in reality, if you did not allow the personal attacks/worthless snide remarks, I would not need to defend myself and my reputation.
There wouldn't even be a dumpster, much less a fire.
If you want Rennlist to be a better place, perhaps that is best served by banning me.....your choice.
15,000+ posts, mostly helping people solve problems with their 928's, and a few conflicts, instigated by personal attacks by others. Every single conflict comes from the same thing!
Conversely, if you'd not allow the personal attacks to ever begin, that would really solve the issues.
Here's what the rules should be and should be enforced, consistently:"If you don't have anything positive to add or something relating to the subject of the thread, your post will be removed. Discussion and debate encouraged, back and forth, between members. Must be a civil exchange or it will be edited or removed. Any personal attack on an individual or business/snide remark will result in an instant "vacation."
You go back/do this and Rennlist can grow back to its' previous glory....
Great exchanges of ideas and help for all 928 owners.

Anytime I need to solve a problem or understand an issue as it relates to a 928 I use my google search hyperlink for this forum and add Greg Brown and the topic and hit enter.
What I get back is pretty much every thing I need to know about the topic. If not, I post a question to the group.
Name one other poster that has earned that? Certainly not me.
So, while there are monkeys slinging poop here consider this:
What if GB could remove every post he's made on RL? (I know somebody that did just that. I lament the loss of his knowledge.)
What exactly would remain?
In my estimation not much.
Do I wish he wasn't so thin skinned? Yes.
Do I wish people would just forgive him his faults? Hell yes.
We all have an eccentric relative. Well that's how I think of Greg. Eccentric but very knowledgeable.

The word "moderate" Is the base word for "moderator".

It gets old and tiring when some vendors and their fanbase feel the need to take over and dominate so many threads to the point of exhaustion that folks give up and stop posting.
