I would not prefer the Bilstein shock on a light car. My 86 S has a better ride quality with the M474 Boge red sports than the Bistein setup on the 84 S.
Both cars have all rubber parts new.
To be fair, my shop here prefers the Konis, valves half closed, he says the Koni is most forgiving if the road has little steps.
From a budget standpoint the Boge grey are a real bargain versus the other solutions.
