Default "great deal" S4 not so great deal.

I've been going through the 89' fixing little things, replaced radiator to eliminate oil in the water. Fixed the sunroof. Went to align the front end....

Followed Bill's writeup along with the WSM....

Hmmm. Aluminum ball cap... Hmmm. OB Brakes?!.. Hmmm. Front arms have a "79" model year in the casting.

THE WHOLE SUSPENSION ON THE CAR HAS BEEN SWAPPED WITH A 79.....

How the F@#! did I miss this???? I guess I was blinded by the price and the overall look of the car (and no TBF)...

I haven't checked the rear end yet. Ever just have one of those years???

at least you have the 5.0!
Did the radiator fix the oil/water problem? everything else is running good so far?

Yes, the radiator fixed the oil in the coolant issue. I had been avoiding stripping my 86.5 for parts, but now it looks like it's what I have to do.

I'll post a list of parts for sale later....

I'd be ashamed to post on this board again if that's true.

I wonder if there's any legal recourse in this situation, You bought a '89 car...So you should have a '89 car not an '89 with '79 parts. Have you tried to contact the seller about this?

The only thing we need now, is pics of the missing 87 suspenssion... And we all know how hard it is to get pics of missing parts here.
