According to http://www.landsharkoz.com Arrow blue (or blau) was available for 79 and 80 only..hmm...wonder if it was a special order?...anyway..send them some pics since they don't have any of an arrow blue 928..

Hurry up and wash it already..we want to see some more pics ..

Cheers,

Porsche has a habit of re-using the color names..but actually changing the color...case in point, iris blue for 85 is a light metallic blue...iris blue on the GTS is a deep dark metallic blue..

PET lists 305 as arrow blue, there's no royal blue listed (not that that's conclusive)..

If you look further down the Landsharkoz list, they also say that code 305 Royal Blue was available in '82 only.

Either way, please send an e-mail with a couple of good pics of the color with code to webmaster.928@landsharkoz.com His name is Len.

Jim, when you're disclosing what you paid for a car, I think the right spelling is "baring."

DUH...I have been on the computer WAY TO LONG TODAY... Besides it is Saturday I shouldn't have to think. At least I thought enough to acknowledge my error! That has to be worth SOMETHING!

He wasn't pointing out an error, merely the ironic interplay of words available for the situation.

Your wife watches Cops with you!?!?! You are a far luckier man than the cars in your garage attest...

Ok, I like it too, especially when you have seen them so many times you know the episode, " Honey , hurry it's the guy with no shirt in the trailer park and they sicked the dog on him..."

Hey, why is this thread called the OB barn find? This is not an "Original Body" car, it is the Competition Pack 4.5L car which was the precursor to the S. Just curious.

I thought "OB" meant "Old Bastard" which stood for any pre-S4 928.

Take it easy I'm new here!

haha....nope..sorry Kie...OB stands for Old Bugger and is (Per Jay Kempf) a 78 and 79 CIS 928.

edit..checked the FAQ and it lists OB as old bugger 78 through 80...someone should correct that since 80 had L-jet...
