Sounds like he got it back to like new though. Royal Blue here looks pretty much "as-new" right now. I'm kind of afraid to even touch it!
Is it going to be a big negative the stereo and Ungo box alarm? They were dealer installed items at the highest end local shop Magnolia Hi-Fi (still in business now) before the car was even put on the showroom floor. I have the receipts from Magnolia Hi-Fi billing the Porsche dealer.
Saving all the stock parts that Leif is changing out as well.

I want to play with my toy at least once before my mom makes me bring it back to the store!

Don't name a price Kie...
Since this is business, not a give-away, list it everywhere as being put up for sale, allow 2 months for anyone to inspect it, and then either take sealed bids or use a registered-bidder auction on eBay.
That will get you the best price.

It's my plan IF I ever sell my GT.
There is a strong demand for lower-mileage sharks. Your find is way beyond that even. You just need to allow time and opportunity for the cream to rise...

She drives! Damn Leif does not mess around. I'm told everything about the car is exactly as it should be and there were no surprises. Woo-hoo!
He did say the original P7 tires are horribly out of round, and anything over 35 mph is essentially unsafe.
Should I put new tires on and save these in plastic bags? Source another set of wheels/tires and leave these tires mounted on the wheels? Do nothing and just let the next owner decide what to do?
Opinions?

Go to the vintage Corvette forums and do a search for prices on non-DOT bias ply tires for C1 and C2 'survivors' (or google for 'non-DOT' 'Michelin XWX' and 'Ferrari')and you will take those P7's off the car NOW. They're only good for concours purposes anyway. I have no idea whether unmounting them would harm the sidewalls or not, but I'd just find another set of phone dials and some modern rubber for it and call it a day.

I can't imagine why anyone would want the original tires but if you plan on selling it soon I wouldn't bother changing them. It will serve as more evidence that the car is a garage queen and hasn't seen any real driving.

actually it was squirrels not mice. Nuts everywhere. No harm, no foul just one hell of a mess! You want "all the money on this one? Leave the original tires and buy another set to drive/transport. Add it to your price......
On the mileage thing, there is a 95 GTS in FL with ~200 miles on it.
and btw, I'm that Chuck guy and if you have a car like the one you bought OR the frog you do NOT drive them if you have half a brain anyway AND want all the money for it........ SELL IT TO A COLLECTOR. I'm with several really large collectors in Charlotte this weekend at Porsche Club Parade and if you'd like I'll mention it to a couple of them I'd be happy to.
Word to the wise, it might not leak now but wait a few weeks/months/years and it will. I promise you it will. Yesterday, I replaced my master cylinder with 1465 miles. I was fine for four years then..... seep, seep, drip..... The trans is going to leak, the AC system will leak (if it works at all), the radiator might leak, the steering rack will leak. you get the idea....
Oh and good luck.
Jim is right (and he would know), I have hundreds of ours and MANY $1000's of dollars in bringing mine back. (btw, I have the original tires on the original wheels. bought another set to drive on) A detail job is not going to do it, in fact it will probably do more harm then good. Please don't let them loose on this car. If I were interested I would want it b/f any detailer got a hold of it! You might give buyers that option, I wouldn't reduce the price for giving the new owner the pleasure of doing the work.

Chuck is especially right about detailers. Unless the car is being handled by a well known detailer that is familar with correct concours prepping I wouldn't let them touch it. Even still you should ask what products they intend ot use, there are many that will make the car look amazing for the short term but with time these chemicals may actually attack the plating, plastic and rubber and leave the car looking worse.
Good luck either way.
