Mine are here, opened two (one had a damage box). The outer lip had a small chip in it. No big deal for the price.

They weight 29bs. At my friends shop is a Champion 18" wheel (set costs $3,000) same size or maybe an inch wider - weighs 18lbs. So for a few thousand less, not bad at all.

When posting tire sizes that work, it would be helpful to know year of car and on pre 86.5 if your running the original suspension or S4. I imagine a number of people are sitting back waiting to see what works. I know I am.

Can use all of the narrow body wheels from 993-986-996-997 50mm -65mm et front and 48mm - 65mm et rear. 1981 to 1984 cars have 21mm spacers in the rear. These can be removed to fit some wide body wheels. (18x10 40mm 18x11 45mm) You may still need to do some fender mods depending on the tire size.
Most extreme fit 18x10 et65mm front and 18x11 et45mm-63mm. The 18x11 et63mm wheel fits nicely on the rear with a 285/30/18 tire. 19"s fit very nicely on the car

Can use all of the narrow body wheels from 993-986-996-997 50mm -65mmet front and 48mm-65mm et rear. Some manual 89gt cars have 17mm spacers in the rear so you may have to chuck them when using wider wheels and tires
Most extreme fit 18x10 et65mm on all four corners. The 18x11 et63mm wheel fits nicely on the rear with a 285/30/18 tire. 19"s are possible

Ouch...so 44 pounds of added unsprung weight....that's pretty high..but I guess it's the old dollars vs. performance....Let us know how they feel on the track when you get out there.. I'm curious..

Going from an 8" wide wheel with street tires to 10" wide with R-compounds.....I doubt the wheel weight will make much of a difference

Nice info Rick but they do forget the wonderful feature of 85/86 cars tnamely the extra space under the fenders in the rear after pulling the factory spacers

That's mentioned in the 78-85 part as being 81-84.

Maybe in the corners..but in terms of acceleration...I bet you feel it..thats adding a lot on each corner. I'm just curious..I think you will loose some of the snappiness during acceleration...even if you make up for it by going deeper in the corners..

6psi will more than make up for it

The wheels I compared it to is one extreme.
These are only 4lbs heavier then the wheels that are already on the car, 8" wide. I'm not taking off 18lb wheels for 30lb wheels.

The benefits outweigh the negatives in this one.

It's going to be a while since I'm also going to do the upper control arm swap.
