I ordered 4 as a spare set for my 79. Thanks Dan
As a reference I know that 8" S4 wheels are at the limits of how far out the front wheel can be. On a stock S4 with no fender rolling, there is some rubbing on my car but only with race tires on the track. No problems on the street.
These 10s with a 65 offset will be out an additional 1/2" from those.

I called yesterday and three rims were left at the time and that was it. I just couldn't pull the trigger, because I didn't know how hard it would be to find a matching front 10" rim or find two 8 inchers. I have seen at least one more version of a twist type wheel including the two above which further muddied the waters for me. If they had 4 left I would have bought them and tried the 10's on the front with a 245 width tire. The sidewalls would have looked a little funky, but I think it would have worked. If it didn't, I would have sold 2 of them.

This is the only email that I received from Discount Tire so far. Does it mean that I've gotten my wheels? Or will I get another email notifying me that they have run out of stock?

No Problem. Thanks for the reference. I think I will still try and get the 8's up front.

Andrew,
If you didn't get a tracking number perhaps they sold out before you placed the order? I'm sure a quick phone call to them will clear it up.

Okay, here is the deal in my situation...

I was the first person to place my order online with Discount Tire after reading this email thread. Apparently, ordering through the Discount Tire Center website did not mean the order was actually finalized even though I received an order confirmation by email yesterday morning.

I called Discount Tire to inquire about my order since the website had not asked for payment info when I placed the order online. I have just learnt Discount Tire forwarded my order request to America's Tire (the place where I designated the delivery point). Someone in this particular America's Tire store still had to place the actual order into the system.

So, Discount Tire bumped me to America's Tire during the call. This America's Tire store has just taken my credit card details. (I wondered if anyone would have called me for my credit card info to finalize payment if I had not called them). They are going to place the order today. There looks to be a strong possibility that I may actually not get the wheels since some folks on this thread are already getting "out of stock" notifications.

Check with the store where you asked them to be shipped. It may be too late; i contacted the local store right after I placed my order and it seems OK now but until I actually pick them up I don't know with certainty. The local store did quote me the same price plus sales tax.

The original link had something cached into it for the "ship to local store" option. I was puzzled after not being asked for a credit card. I called the store I picked as my "nearest location", it's in Michigan so I just assumed at first that was the warehouse location.
The person at that store explained what happened, said he was about to call me to setup an appointment. He cancelled my order and I called the 800 number to place a different order.

Now I have UPS tracking numbers so I'm pretty sure my wheels are on the way.

I guess we could re-name this thread Turbo II wheels owner's club?

Anyone have more pictures of our cars with the Turbo II wheels on them?

That's Darien's car above. Tony also has them. There is a thread about fitting the 11" version of these to the rear of Tony's car.

Ok called Discount tire and had him look for the 18x8 and 18x10 and he says no store has them according to his computer. If anyone ends up with 2 extra please contact me. I would like a set for my rear. Do you guys think it is going to be possible to find a set of 8" to match for the front?
