Porsche recommends a 225 for the front, so that is what I would stay with

Porsche also sold the car with a 7" wheel. These are 10" wide so a larger front tire is needed.

235 is the lowest, I'll be putting 265's on the front.

Porsche also recommends 255's on the rear, 285+ fits fine.

Yep I got 225's for the 18x8" wheels. Tires are here but it looks like we have some problems with my front wheels I already paid for...

Hacker,
I heard 245's where the narrowest that could fit on a 10" wide rim?

Another attactive option is to look for another 928, but if my wife reads this, I'm a dead man or at least seriously injured..

This thread is great.

As the wheels come in, keep us posted on tire sizes you install and what the results are, at least for the fronts, whether 8 or 10".

I hope you don't mean the part about my wife hurting me. Maybe the part about being forced to get another 928 since I'd have extra wheels - now that would be great, or?

For the time being, I'm just lying low.

Actually, she's great about my toys, but I do know that "IF" there is a chance of another 928 apprearing in my garage, there will also be "another" horse in her barn (that I haven't built yet). The last one cost me a gray mare that is named "Porsche", I guess to match the linen gray metallic 928 that I'm workng on for her.

I'd really like a venetian blue with gray interior 5 speed, but I don't think I can find a blue horse.

Wish me luck.

Not a huge fan of the wheels, but for the cost...actually, No. Just went purist and got phone dials to supplant my 993s. Well, not real purist, they are 16s and 9s in the rear...I think they are 9, anyway..got them refinished and they are just sitting..

I like the look of the 16" phone dials for the older cars. However, the tire selection is very limited. If someone made a 17" version of them, I'd be all over it.

I just picked mine up and will be watching to see what tire sizes others will use, especially front. The store manager said they had several calls from stores around the country trying to get these wheels.
