928S4 Rear Ended...Year from hell continues :-(

John,
Most importantly, you are ok. Maybe not yet perfect, but ok.
I was rear ended by a Pontiac Sunfire a few years back while in my '90 S4. Same thing. Estimated 30 MPH. The Sunfire was a write off. It was a square on rear ender and my car turned out to be straight and repairable. I drove it home. About $6000 was the repair. Both airbags went off in her car. Thank goodness because she was not wearing her seatbelt and was early in pregnancy. I help her lie down onto the grass as she was crying and basically freaking out and crawling out of her car. I called 911 and just asked her to lie down until paramedics arrived. She turned out to be ok.
Police instructed me that she had no insurance, the car had an expired tag and she had a suspended or expired drivers licence (I dont remember which). She assured me that her father would take car of everything. When I spoke with him and said $6k, he basically backed away from his commitment, started telling me a sob story about the wrong decisions that his daughter was making, his bitch of an ex-wife etc. In the end I got my out of pocket expenses, basically my insurance deductible, from him.
Best of luck

Alex, Rich, Jim and Cameron,
Thanks for you support! This is a great list isn't it? I'm a bit more stiff and sore today, but I've had to deal with muscle pain just about everyday for the last two years, so It's OK. I'm going to rest it and get some chiropractic treatments to get everything back into alignment.

Very 928 funny.
Wish I lived closer to Doc Mohr. I haven't been to one in a long time, and I'd prefer to go to someone I know and trust.

Sorry to hear about the carnage. Glad you and the S4 are both driveable.
Since I can't be there to realign you or the car, give me your adress again, I'll drop a little something we use for muscle sprains/strains in the mail.
Scott
p.s. take two bourbons and call me in the morning.

Well, I live just outside of Old Town. I was thinking of a place that is a couple blocks from the Porsche dealer in Arlington. They did the work on Greg Nichols deer damage. Good job. Forget the name off hand.

Latest Update:
The lady's insurance is SAFECO. Anyone had to deal with them? So far they have been friendly. They know it's her fault. They are going to send an agent out to look at the car and then I can can take it to any shop I want. They say they will cover medical, lost wages, rental car, etc. I have too much at work going on to miss some (wish I could just lie down right now). Frankly I'm going to have to use a bunch of personal time just to get this all squared away, and then will be without my car for probably a couple months while it is fixed. That should count for something. Not looking to get rich off of this, but it's a complete pain in my ***. Any thoughts on this? Am I being unreasonable to say, get an extra grand or so to have GTS flares added. ?

Thanks Glenn! Good to hear from you.
Finally took a pic this AM of the damage. Notice the exhaust. The bumperettes are pushed and locked all the way in.
