I have another 928 to drive while it's in the shop. The car already has a salvage title (from 1990), so this one will be a bit tricky. My argument is that the car has been on the road for 15 years since the salvage title was issued. Has changed hands a couple times, and still looked great when it was hit.
I'm not settling easy. I'm probably getting a lawyer since they have done some strange things already from the medical side. One of my best friends is the in house councel for a large INS co, and he told me to get a an attorney based on a request from the hitters INS co. for my medical records that does not look standard.

JE ..... weigh the pro's and cons Dude. It can be ugly. I'm not saying give up, just ..... weigh your personal stress level against what incremental gains there may be.

The way I look at it, every day they hassel with me just adds to my "pain and suffering".

I'm studying for my insurance license as we speak; learning more than I though I'd ever know, but light years from being expert. Keep telling their agent/adjuster with whom you're dealing that they MUST indemnify you and make you (the car) whole again before you will consider settling. Just as Ron says, the way it was right before this happened. Don't back off! Check with your insurance company to see if you've got it in your policy for an attorney. Also, explore the possibility of having your insurance company repair the car and then have your insurance company "duke it out" with thiers. Just a thought. Hang in there and good luck!

You will be intimidated by the other side's attorney, by your own insurance company, and you will need a shovel to make your way through the "stuff" on the ground that will build up. Buy high cuff pants and wear boots. Laugh in their faces. They hit your car, not the other way around. You have no responsibility to cater to their convenience, though they will tell you that you "must mitigate your loss". Baloney. I told my own attorney he had no ***** when he told me that crap. And I think he doesn't; his desk is covered with dolls !!! Sheesh !!

The more they delay and try to intimidate, the more physical therapy sessions I will have.

Already planned on keeping the car. Estimate is for $9,109.00. Shop considers it totaled. I don't think you can find a tripple black 5-spd 928S4 with 100K miles on the clock that looks like this for that price.

I don't know anyone who wasn't completly happy with the work Wagonwork has done for them. I'm not paying for it, I'm getting it done by the best.
