Tom, I have prayed for Marcia, she sounds like a cool person, I hope and pray for a speedy recovery. I lost my (pretty young) dad in 2000 to a stroke. Thank God you have your wife, you and she can communicate and have fun, and life goes on.

Patti and I were shocked when Louis gave us the news at breakfast last week. Just a few hours earlier we had all been together on the dyno!
Patti really enjoyed Marsha and looks forward to seeing her again.

It was truly a pleasure having had the opportunity to meet both you and Marcia, Tom. Marcia was very friendly to me and, thankfully, warned me early-on in the weekend about YOUR sense of humor, Tom. I would have otheriwise, been suckered into a few of your jokes. It does not take one long to see the love that exists between the two of you.
My thoughts are with Marcia for a speedy and complete recovery, and many more years of happiness for you both.

Tom, as you said, the last week has been the toughest of your life. I can only imagine the level of anxiety, make that terror, you must have felt the morning of Marcia's stroke. That Marcia has had successful surgery and is in recovery is the best news I could have heard today.
Please let us know where we can send our expressions of support for Marcia.

I used to jump on the gas going up the freeway on-ramp near my house and get a nice felling of power. Now, if I get on the throttle, I burn rubber all the way up the ramp. It's rather amazing. I need some fat wheels and rubber.

I've had fun conversations (about Kaiser and healthcare, not dynos) with Marcia @ previous SITP and DEVEK events. She is an absolute delight! Please give my best regards to Marcia for her full and speedy recovery.
That Marcia is a candidate (and that they have an open slot) for the step down unit in Vallejo is a good sign. As an aside, my sister's mother-in-law had a stroke recently and is now progressing very well at home after a great experience at the Vallejo rehab clinic. It's a nice facility and they deal with patients quite well.

I created two straight brackets from aluminum 3/4 x 1/8 angle iron. The first mounts on the back of the SC using existing bolts and holds a horizontal wheel out even with the throttle body linkage. This allows the cable to make an almost 90 degree turn to line up with the plane of the linkage. The second bracket bolts to the top of the throttle body using the existing bolts (just longer) and holds a vertical wheel above and lined up with the linkage that allows the cable to turn down toward the linkage at the right angle for a straight pull. So, the cable ends up approaching the linkage at the original stock angle rather than from the side. The throttle body is turned so that the linkage is level and there is no longer any concern about interference with the cam cover bolts. A few bucks of aluminum, a few holes, one bend and some cutting away of the bracket metal to fit the throttle body. It looks a bit Rube Goldgergie, but it works well.
Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. I'll have some tonight.
