Ok guys, this thread can now be killed off. THE SEARCH IS NOW OVER! I've found the one! This is the one I will be buying from a friend on Pelican Parts(actually a family member of his):

The description of the car:

1984 Porsche 944

Porsche "Sport" seats

Porsche Red

Tab replaced the timing belt, motor mounts and a gasket when I bought the car.

The prior owner replaced the clutch shortly before he had to sell the car as a result of a job loss.

I think I have fewer than 5,000 on the car from the time I bought it.

NOTE: the 1984 is on-turbo, but it is easier to work on.

Bought car in 2008

The car has always been garage kept and doesn't appear to have any rust.

I am looking for somewhere around $3000 to $3500.

I'm gonna offer $3000 and hopefully the car will be sitting in my driveway by the end of this summer.

I'll believe it when I see it, you've been tugging at our heart strings for oh so long young Karl...I think Dougs951S will have a seizure if this ends up being bunk.

PS... There's 2 951s semi local to me for $3500... Since your budget went up and all...

Dougs951S will have more than a seizure when he sees this car. And I do sincerely apologize for the heart strings pulled on this almost one-year search, but this one is for real, and will be in my driveway before summers up, just you wait!

The only reason I bumped up my budget was for this car and only this car. I've been waiting to here from this guy for awhile and now that it's happened I no longer need to search CL!

It's all good man, so are you waiting for your mom to get back to purchase the car? When do you get to go check it out? What options does it have? Sport seats are a big plus. Got any pics to share?

I may or may not wait for her, she just left this afternoon, I messaged his brother-in law on Pelican to see when I could go check it out and if I could have some pics of the car. He wasn't very specific so I don't know if it has the LSD option, but if it does it'll be awesome! I love the sports seats, I sat in them when I went over to Gilson last winter.

Hopefully I'll see the pics tonight, whenever I get them, I'll post them here.

Bad form to post a PM conversation in a public thread, just FYI. At least without permission from other PM-er.
