Another update:
The owner responded to me again today and the functioning odometer reads 118,921 miles. That's decently low for an '84 I think. The interior has some dash cracks but I'm use to them and can live with them. Other than that, it's good. He gave me his number so I'm gonna give him a call.

So I went to go check out the car last night and here's what I've got on it!
1. He is the second owner of the car, he bought it 5 years ago with 113k miles on the odometer from the PO who had just lost his job and had a Shelby Mustang and couldn't keep both.
2. It's been garage-kept by both him and the previous owner and it's never seen winter once and the underbody of the car is clean. No rust too!
3. The paint is original, and even though it has some rock chips on the front(it's a low car), the paint is soo smooth! It's overall very nice for what it is.
4. This is the best part! The car has only has 118k miles on it now, it's got a brand new clutch, timing belt, water pump, gaskets and all the other important wear parts as well! I could not find a mechanically sound 944 for a price like this! He only drove it 5000 miles since he's had it! So it's only 5000 miles on those new parts!
The interior has some dash cracks but they're very small and you wouldn't notice them unless you were Sherlock.
We were out driving for 2 hours up and down the freeway at high speed with some bends here and there; and we actually almost ran out of gas because we were having soo much fun! From my drive, I can tell you it handles amazing, the new clutch which was much more springy than my ST took some time to get used too and it bites crazy good as it hasn't even been broken in yet, and the engine was perfect as power was ready whenever I needed it. It has lived up to my expectations and more, this is the car I want!
We agreed on a selling price of $3200 and I'll know tomorrow if I can it or not. I'm very excited!

My mom's over in Ghana until July 21st, we all just talked on the phone just now, and we all agreed to wait until when she gets back to get the car. It's not going anywhere and I'm the only person that knows it's for sale.
