Ok cool, you just have to keep good communication to the seller and make sure he knows everything about your situation. I hate it when people jerk me around when doing business, especially buying/selling cars. Also, a deposit should be considered when asking a seller to hold the vehicle for you. IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING KARL

Absolutely! I asked him if I could give him a deposit in my message and exactly what's going on right now. I'M NOT LETTING THIS ONE GO!!

Good luck!!!

THANKS!! I'm getting very anxious to here the owners response right now! He's suppose to email me back today. I'm tempted to send him another email just to ask again if I can put a deposit on the car. But I don't want to barrage him with emails.

I just sent him one, just asking if he had received my email from yesterday, because I wasn't in the most internet connection-friendly place when I sent it.

Just an FYI, you might not want to disclose every little bit of your buying experience on here until after the fact. A lot of 944 guys read this forum, you might make a seller uneasy. Just my $0.02

Fair enough, sorry about that. I'll keep it down until after the fact. I'm just so excited to finally be getting somewhere with my search, and finally getting this close to acquiring a car I've wanted to own and drive for the longest time.

Oh! I've got a question that I can ask to pass the time! Rod bearings? What exactly are they, what do they do, and what does it mean when you've "spun a rod bearing"? How does it happen and how catastrophic is it when it happens? Anyone ever have it happen to them?
