Installed my ball joint rebuild kit. Couple of observations:
-it is much easier to use a shop press to compress the spring and remove the clip.
-Do not reuse the old factory clip on the control arm, it just pops off when installing back onto the car. (learned that one the hard way)
-Let the epoxy set overnight, makes for a much better seal.
Next time I am just going to buy the $700 control arms. For what a pita it was to rebuild mine I would rather have walked away with something really cool installed.
I also began fixing all the switches in the dash that were falling into the dash due to broken clips in the trim. I used a great 3M product we use here at audi to reinforce the rollover valves as part of a required vehicle update.
Installed new/used door panel on the drivers door. She is looking like a whole car again.

Removed both front seats, recovered some wetness on the floor. Go figure where it comes from..
Cleaned the hydraulic steering unit to find out where exactly is it leaking from.
Ordered a pair of front brake discs, will arrive in a few days. In the Nowhere-land where I live one can`t just go into a store and buy brake discs for a 944

Still waiting for parts to come in to do the timing/balancing belts and other routine maintenance. But, on my Corvette, I gave it a bath and threw on the drag radials. Heading to the track in an hour to run in our local Corvette Challenge. With the heat, I know I won't see 10's, but I should be hovering around 11.09.

Tub is toast Found a stripped 944S tub, going to get it soda blasted and go from there. I am going to try to blog the rebuild if I have time. See http://frankencar.blogspot.com/ . Nothing there yet, but soon.

First detailing
well I got the car on Wednesday and have already put over 200 miles on it and it was going to rain today so I washed it at 7am, dried it and then put it in the garage and waxed it, leather cleaner/conditioner in side, Armorall the wheels and "Back to Black" the trim, cleaned all the glass and then the sun came out so the wife and I took a nice ride. I love this car.

Finished with the cam, belts-n-stuff job. Spent a lot of time cleaning and painting stuff as I went and it's looking pretty good. Had to come in to do the BBQ so I didn't get to totally finish, but did manage to fire it up before I quit. It's tapping like crazy since the lifters aren't yet pumped up, but in the 2 mins it ran they started to quiet down. I shut it off when I realized I hadn't torqued the pulley bolt, but tomorrow I get that and put the belly pan/batwing on, wash it and then take it for a spin! My DD is back
