When they are strapped in, their pelvis is below the bolt on the outside and mostly below the bolt on the inside. Due to the shape of the seat, the bolt on the inside is recessed quite a bit(It's hard to see that from the photo but if you look at the shape of your seats, you'll see what i mean). When the belts are connected and snug, they hold the boys below the main part of the bolt.
It is not a perfect solution but it is much better than just the lap belts.

Talking

Hello all, New-Old member here, had a 944 about 10 years ago, got the itch for another one, so I picked up this gal about a month ago. Love her. When I bought it, it was fairly solid, but it needed lots of bits an pieces. What did I do this weekend, here's the list.

All in all a fun and busy weekend.

Cleaned one half of my transmission..with degreaser, then wire brushes, flapper wheels and elbow grease. Amazing how this stuff cuts through 30 years of corrosion buildup and grime on the outside of the case. Hope to get it beadblasted during teardown, so it will look like it's supposed to. Then cast aluminum paint..and clearcoat.

Shattered my oil pan on my drive home from work. Time to swap it out and bend myself a skid plate.

Broke a CV Saturday, I'll replace it this Friday, as well as the fluid with MT-90 and new plugs. The Stage 8's are getting kinda crusty, anyone else have rust like this?

cant say ive ever seen a single rusted 944 axle bolt
usually they are covered in grime and slung off grease from the cv joints, leaking trans fluid, or other stuff

It wasn't really a click, more like a light clunk when leaving lights and stop signs. I picked up the parts, but when I went underneath they felt tight, and it felt like the sound was coming from inside the trans. Luckily free towing, and I already had the parts.

I had one with a few thousands of play by the exhaust so I moved it to the passenger side to get a few more miles...it's done. Last couple nights at low speed and high load, they are eminating that 'change me' sound.

Assemblies are NLA for my car so 4 for 4 is the cheapest I have found..
