Today I started it for the first time in 6 months. I was kind of afraid of starting it while it was on the lift, but I wanted to hear that sweet inline 4 rumble again.

After that, I finished shining up my control arms and installed my new ball joints

I didn't feel like spending hours turning a wrench to remove my torque tube bearings AGAIN, so I chained the torque tube to a tree and used my car to yank them out. It took some persuasion to get them out, but this time it only took a few minutes instead of a few hours. I bent the **** out of the threaded rod somehow, too. Still waiting on my new sleeve things from Jegar Engineering....

hope you didnt **** them up.
you really need an impact gun and a big air tank to do it right and make it easy.

I inspected the carriers and bearings and they were fine. I have an impact wrench and compressor and they didn't speed things up at all. The sleeve things are ruined, but I don't care about them anymore. I have a set on order from a company someone on here recommended. I ordered these sleeves earlier this month and haven't received them yet

Replaced the plastic heater control rod clip under the dash by the drivers right knee.
Recharged the A/C system.
Now I have nice cold A/C for the hot Arizona summer.

I've e-mailed those guys trying to buy parts, and I haven't received an e-mail back. If you haven't heard from them yet, you may want to reverse charges, or PayPal claim. I don't think anyone is home....

Great.... I don't know what to do for those little sleeve things now

I'm glad I used PayPal. Based on past experiences getting my money back with PayPal is much less painful then getting charges reversed by a bank.

how long does it take your system to get cold when sitting still?
AC is a life-changing addition to the 944.
mine takes a little bit...while moving its great, but then again i don't have any ducting currently, but my fan is way more powerful than the porsche fans.

I came out of Costco at about 12:30 today. Loaded my stuff in the car. Turned the car on with the ac on and fan full blast. It took about 30 seconds for the temp to start dropping. It was about 45 seconds until it was blowing full cold.

The center vents blow cold, the side vents blow cool/cold.

It took three people, but I finally got my torque tube and transmission back in.

While the transmission was out I installed my Only944 short shifter. I can't wait to see how this feels.

Last thing I did was close my hood for the first time in 6 months. She'll need a good wash if I ever get it back on the road again.

So how much did you have to bribe them?
