I put a new clutch master and slave on the 968 and bled it. Also installed Rob's IceShark style positive cable, alternator cable, and made my own replacement for the starter wire. The starter wire and alternator cable were both very badly degraded to the point that the alt cable was just copper with no housing. It was definitely not far from starting itself!

Installed my clear turn signals and smoked marker lights that I got from hooked on cars. Installed and adjusted my Saratoga top. And centered my steering wheel, AGAIN.

Tomorrow: PS and AC belt tightening, again, and re-priming windshield washer system..... for the 30th time.

Replaced the aftermarket AGLA shift **** and boot with a proper Porsche OEM **** and boot. The feel is night and day. Whereas the AGLA piece was a block of rubber, slightly squishy and twisty, the Porsche **** is metal, making shifting feel firm and precise. The leather quality on the Porsche part is in a completely different league, too, and matches the interior of the car perfectly.

An absolute joy to shift now!

I drove both 944's today, traded them out while i was on a service call for the shop near my house.

They are both so good in totally different ways.

Managed to snap my alternator belt going 70 on the beltway. And of course, the spare I keep in the car is 10-15cm too small, and I have some MacGyver-ish support bar that makes it impossible unless the belt is the perfect size. Hitting Autozone tomorrow I guess
