This past Saturday I got new rubber all the way around. Also picked up some plasti-dip to try, once my wheels are cleaned up.

Installed PowerPROM racing chip. Make a difference. Smooth acceleration, no more that vibration at lower speed and high gear. Car feels lighter on acceleration, rmp is going up fast, no more holding and lossing power near 5,000-5500 rmp. Well worth spent 100 bucks.

I finally got to fire up my v8 swap for the very first time.

Vids to come sometime in the near future, I still have a few bugs to work out.

Cleaning up the engine bay getting ready for the winter, and noticed a few red drops. Looks like I have to get into the power steering system and see what is leaking.
It's getting colder out in the mornings. Snow tires will be going on soon..

Today I replaced my hatch pin seats with the ones from Only944. The originals disintegrated as soon as I looked at them (no pics )... Now my hatch stays shut and doesn't creak/knock!

I also recovered my yellowed/rock hard armrest with the vinyl recover kit from Only944. I followed the directions and it looks pretty good, but it didn't turn out how I hoped. There is a bump in the vinyl (see pic) and I got super glue on the front part and can't get it off (see pic) Any tips for getting the glue off?

And I removed the clock/climate control unit to replace the bulbs and to see if resoldering the climate control unit would make the controls work again and broke the face plate thing Amazingly the clear piece survived, but the black piece snapped in two

I bought this set up off a mate and picked it up last night. It is the perfect size for the back of our cars at 600mm x 900mm and slips under the cargo blind perfectly. Fired it up today and now have some serious bass. I would never have thought this set up would sound as good as it does or be as loud. V happy

Today, I put together and plumbed my cooling system and started wrapping up my wiring...almost done! I ran out of loom material so it will have to get it finished next weekend or the one after that. I just have turbo trans install and the rest of my exhaust fabrication left (aside from a million small things).

note: there are a few temporary items in the engine bay that will be replaced...anyone have a trick flow elbow I can get off of you?

Got the injectors back from Accurate Injector. Put them in and she's running well. Looks like I had some leaky injectors and some flow issues. I could have done with more communication from AIS, but it was quick and professional, and they did respond once we had gotten them home. My dip in idle is still there, but I have more leaks to deal with (exhaust and vacuum), but the turbo feels good. I get 1 bar in 1st gear, and 1.7bar in the rest. Pulls smooth.

The other day I pulled the dash mostly just for fun.

While I have the dash out I think I'll rebuild the HVAC mixing chamber box thing and the blower fan. All of the foam seals are rotten and on any speed above 2 the blower fan howls like crazy. I think I'll get the dash recovered too. I'm tired if the rattly crappy plastic cover. I might as well just gut the interior while I'm at it and replace the sound deadening, replace the carpet, and get the seats recovered.

Michael, did it stop the whirring? No shiny metal sadness in the oil?
