What did you do to your 924/944 today

I figured out the C clip on the rear shift coupler is the reason 4th and reverse were gone in the 87. I guess it must have taken a pretty good jarring to move it out of place. Now to fix the slave cylinder so my kids do not have to try to force it in gear. The clutch bleeds off it it sits for a few days.

I got the block in mercedes shop for timeserting, resurfacing for mls head gasket.

Found out 500 degrees isn't a hot enough paint to spray on your headers. Going to 2000 degrees. Live and learn.

im assuming thats a PCA or local Porsche club event? im usually the only P-car at autocrosses... even in VA

The autocross here is a local Porsche club (war bonnet region) monthly event. It is open to all, but we charge just a little bit more for non members.
I think there were about 12 Porsche and 20 others.
The fastest time around the coarse was 89 sec (911 turbo). My fastest was 102.

Drilled out my sloppy shift rod and fitted 924 bushings. Now it's tighter than a virgin on roller skates, so of course I proceeded to drive the heck out of it for a good hour on some twisties outside of town!
