ugh...timing belt and balance shaft belt.
found that the previous owner who CLAIMED to be a mechanic is nothing more than a hack.
on the bright side, she's running smother than ever and no more whining belts!

Put my '89 S2 in the shop for a front end service, more R12, and replacing the cam chain tensioner pads. $$$

I "let" a guy in a black Nissan Maxima blow by me as he laughed. Made his day.
In my wildest dreams, he still would have kicked my a$$.

got insurance, assessment, taxes paid, registration, and tags on the red one since the silver one attempted suicide over the weekend. I think the silver one was jealous on the new red one getting all the attention so it decided it would StrekStrekStrekStrek some **** up so i would work on it instead...these two cars i tell ya...remind me so much of women...expect that i can fix the cars, women not so much.

Ordered a new clutch kit, TT bearings, various parts. I ensured to only mentally add it to my list, probably won't keep the receipt. My wallet cried, got emo, and cut itself.

Think I'll have a glass of scotch when I get home to celebrate the soon to be "Running as intended" behavior of my 944.

My day was bland.. went to Costco and enjoyed using my new rear hatch struts (apparently the hatch just "springs up on its own" when these are new) to make loading the bulk goods so darn easy!

i quit tracking receipts just before my clutch job. i think i have all of them somewhere, but it would take a while to collect them. it was the best decision i have made with the car.

edit:

oh, i drove her to work after lunch and used her to get groceries on the way home.

Drilled out the two broken WP studs. Like that is anything new around here.
