Post 77 here.
There are several settings that you can code after you open/close the top with the keyfob. Open/close windows halfway or all the way.

It seems some of them override the locking mechanism, perhaps a Spyder thing
I'm trying to read the whole thread in order to avoid repetition, almost there.

I tried a dummy key in lieu of key fob, using one setting that should ignore defective antennas, didn't work. I think the car likely misses the internal sensor / antenna that allows for entry and drive. Quick rant, needing to use a fob to start, not having parking sensors and mirror not tilting down (coded-thanks!) because "it's a GT " is nonsensical.

There are 8 Kessy antennas for the Entry and Drive. 3X #16 (Inner), 3X#21 (Outer) 2X #28 (Frunk & Trunk) for the Cayman/Boxter

GT cars don't have those

I found the coding for the Front and Rear antennas (Gesture Control) but not for the other ones. My guess would be that you would need the Center Console antenna (#16) and coding to start your car keyless.

Very knowledgeable you are, thanks!
Looking at the Porsche parts list on their website, they don't make a lot of distinction between the GTS and GT4. I'm sure someone already pursued entry and drive mod. I'll give it a shot.

Happy thanksgiving to you all!

@John Mclane I think you'll be the first, lol. As a first step you might want to check to see if the wiring harness on the firewall (behind the carpet) where the interior antenna would've been mounted has a connector for the (missing?) kessy E&D antenna. ... just my 2¢. Good luck and let us know!

@Z06jerry Good call about the wiring harness. I looked at the front bumper wiring harness same Part # for GTS and GT4. Here are some pics of the front bumper courtesy of @Westcoast Spyder. I will look for the interior wiring harness later.

I appreciate all the help.
Commonly the wire harness is the same to save money, with empty connections. I'll find out once I start digging that area. Not that many Spyder and GT4 out there's actually being used, so the path is not yet beaten.

Porsche rarely/never does this, no option means no wires or socket... for example no Light Design package, no wires or socket, didn't opt for illuminated sills, no wiring for it will be there.

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...y-drive-3.html Similar adventure here. I'm not remotely as brave.

Following this instructive thread, I managed to get the *** to remember last setting, right side mirror flip down on reverse, increase dashboard illumination, change the # of turning blinks (3 to 5). Kudos to all great work.

That's interesting, I always was told Porsche didn't build as most other makes do , and every wiring system was unique to the specific build specifications.

You are right @Bill Mitchell . Sorry, I should have read the fine print for the wiring harness. Part number is the same but it specifically said Modify in Workshop. That leads me to believe that the wiring harness might be customized during the build.

@John Mclane I only have the wiring diagram for 2018 Cayman which could be different from 2020-2023. You can see which connectors are needed for each antenna.

Wishful thinking to be able to do this on my own without breaking a lot of parts. The antennas are not that expensive, easy to find ilhem in the secondary market.
It seems to be easier to swap the F1 transmission to manual on a F360 than add entry and drive on Porsches

^^^
@John Mclane If it was just a matter of connecting missing antenna and coding that would be doable, but reading the Cayenne thread you linked suggests you also need to wire in the missing connectors swap out the BCM, and possibly other modules too! https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...y-drive-3.html

With my '22 Boxster only the trunk/frunk gesture function is missing (due to the chip shortage), all other E&D functions work, so I'll need to pull the bumpers to see what's missing and if connectors are there for the antenna and motion detectors. Maybe I'll get around to it sometime this winter.
