My dealer didn't get any allocations, they went to the 918 owners, as some of you predicted.

Porsche Downtown Chicago may have gotten one as they spent some insane amount of money on a buildout to put a dealership in the city.

Well guess I wait for next year.

Cheers.

Heard the same but more than 1 for them.

My chicagoland dealer (Loeber) didn't get any either. claims Porsche called all the 918 owners and gave them first dibs?

It's an odd blessing. I was probably just stupid enough to spend $50K or maybe $75K over MSRP to get one (not that those numbers would have even necessarily been enough- my broker is quoting $25K over MSRP for a standard GT4), but better to wait a couple years and see if I can get one from the handful that will be sitting unused in garages...

And spend that 50-75K in other silly car-related things.

Has anyone confirmed dealers have received the first round of allocations?

I saw something suggesting they would be allocated in early Q1.

There is a good possibility that the dealers don't know anything yet either and what they are telling the public is just "their interpretation" of what's going to happen. Perception becomes one's reality. Porsche has been doing this since the Carrera GT was released. And then they went on and made a few hundred more because the demand remained high.

The more units they sell, the faster they can payback all the development costs and start turning a profit. and who doesn't like a bit of profit...

My dealer has not received any allocations yet. My guess they'll drop allocations Feb/March for later summer/early fall delivery.

I was at my dealer handing off some holiday bourbon and looking at a Cayenne. They have not received any allocations and he mentioned perhaps after the new year. He hoped to get “1” in the first tranche

By comparison they received 5 GT3s in the first cycle.

There’s a dude in Canada with an allocation.

I was finalizing specs on two cars Tuesday and my dealer hadn't received any allocations then.

Apologies for the confusion - no allocation formally confirmed. I should have been clearer when I mentioned my spec direction for that car.

I see you have a bunch of new toys in order…. you’re going to be very busy this spring with all the break in miles!

I think we got to keep in perspective allocation vs what a dealer thinks he will get and/or heard from their Porsche contact.
My dealer hasn't received any allocations yet but they went ahead and called the first 3 spots on the list and requested builds to submits as on-demand orders because they are 99% sure they will get those 3 spots in 2022.
But still...no allocations so we really don't know how many and when they will be the build dates.

Yup, when I emailed my dealer he told me to email him my build. I told him I'm flexible on the timing and understand if he has to take are of the whales with the first batch of allocations.

We don't have to deal with the VIP allocation BS.....the only 918 VIP is on the list and he will probably get one.....they go by the list but they give priority to repeat customers that are enthusiasts, involved in events, etc....usually people that use their cars and promote the brand.
The 3 first spots on the list (which includes myself) are people that will track the 4RS
