I’m on a “list” and there is 2 cars coming into my dealership that they know of and 4 VIPS that want to order one… according to “insider information”
I’ve even had help with some forum members here.
My chances of getting one might be either 2nd wave of these cars or none at all. (My guess)
My SA said: “we aren’t taking deposits right now, but will let you know when we hear something”

The "halo" customers get first dibs and those cars get counted against their dealer's allocation. Im first in line with a deposit at my local dealer, but its (currently) meaningless given that the dealer has no idea what the allocation is at this point and time.
An SA at Monterey Porsche told me they have 10 - 15 deposits at $5,000 and he said they'd be asking for a $30,000 ADM. But of course, we're talking about Carmel and the high rent district.

Not entirely correct. I have had a spyder commission number since July, and haven't heard a peep via email, despite 3 calls to 800-PORSCHE. I am apparently on-hold for going active in TYD. 911s are reportedly covered reliably by the TYD system, but 718s are still hit or miss. I still get my status reports the old fashioned way...the SA sending me the little form they provide online with all the relevant dates (which slipped twice early on, but now seem to be holding; in line with the other Spring '22 gt4/spyder deliveries).

Firstly they are not accepting any deposits,
Secondly they won’t/can’t do an ADM by law… although I hear they may lowball your trade-in.

@Archimedes is,as usual, SPOT-ON. Expect north of $30K for an ordinary GT4. Looking at 6 figures for the GT4RS. There are a lot of 918 VIPs that get first dibs.

GM of my dealer wanted me to spec a TTS cab this morning that locks soon.
We discussed 4RS allocations and she said ‘many will be disappointed’ I think she was referring to me. 😢
