Same here. I was at the dealer picking up GT4 after service and had a nice chat with SA. Currently there are 3 on GT4 RS waitlist, 450ish HP for the RS and MSRP around 170K. I will keep my spot on the GT3 list and enjoy my regular GT4

All day and twice on Sunday. $170k sticker plus a big ADM for a GT4 RS is looney tunes.

So a base GT4RS costs more without ADM than a base GT3.

Sucker born every minute.

Who said base, tardley? A well speccd GT4 hits high $120s easily, and if this car is truly the shizzle like the folks on here who claim connections say it is, it could easily have a base price $40-45k more than the standard GT4, which would put it around $170k. Add an ADM and you have a stupid price for a GT4.

Honestly, watching the GT4 race cars on track wouldn’t drive me to want to pay $200k+ for a GT4 in any trim.

Cars are worth what the market will bear. Personally, I would never buy a GT3 or GT4 since the top does not go down; however, I can see them getting the money they want for every one they can make.

Who said base? And yes, if you stop smoking crack, your reading comprehension will improve.

My money is on GT4 base will not be near GT3 base. Base GT4 is $116,000 CDN, GT3 is $180,000. I peg GT4RS at $150,000 CDN base.

I agree with you. My GT3 is coming in Feb next year. And because of that, my willingness to buy a GT4 RS at this moment is low. I have the 9A2EVO engine in my spyder, and with the JCR exhaust, I am very satisfied.

Sounds like these things are going to end up costing people well north of 200k all said and done. As much as I prefer the cayman platform and think the new gt3 is ugly, I’d get the gt3 if I was spending that much.

Or you need to research the difference between the word 'sticker' and 'base', bud. The 'base' price of my GT4 was $99,200. The 'sticker' price was $125,000. I said 'sticker' of $170k.

Agreed, even though I agree that the current 911, even in GT3 form, is pretty hideous. We're in one of those periods that come along every 20 years or so when Porsche loses their way and produces an ugly 911. I expect/hope that the next iteration will pivot to the Taycan/Mission R design style and revert back to the beautiful, simple, organic design cues for which Porsche has always been known. The busy-ness that has crept into their 911 designs in recent years has been an unwelcome sight.

An interesting observation, given that I believe their spider/gt4 designs have achieved a level of grace sorely missing previously (IMO). Boxsters have come a long way from the homely 986 to the 718 spyder. YMMV, of course.
